I recieved a check in the amount of $3,950.75 from Liberty Financial. The company name on the check is Hirsch, which is a feed & Farm supply co. in Thayer, Mo. The check was drwn on Simmons 1st National Bank in Mammoth Springs, AR. Simmons has no branch in that city.
I contacted Simmons via e-mail to let them know what's going on Yippee! I thought (for a moment) that I had won something, but it didn't take long, after reading the enclosed letter that it is a scam! I shall contact Hirsch tomorrow to let them know about this also. I don't know what would happen if I try to cash this check, but I've heard horror stories!!! Perhaps I'll take it to a bank and ask their opinion.

It's phony. Just shred the check and forget it. This is what the bank will tell you, as well.
