Upon leaving Liberty Tax Service of San Ramon due to medical reasons, I was not given my exit paycheck.
Mr. Robert Downum of Liberty Tax Service in San Ramon has refused to give me my exit check of over $600. His excuse to me was that "he's too busy."
I left Liberty Tax Service in February of 2007. It's the middle of May 2007 and Mr. Robert Downum still has not sent me my exit check.
Due to medical reasons I have had to move away from California and live with a family member. It's hard for me to file a claim and follow it through when I'm so far away and without funds.
Mr. Downum used me for free work, slavery!

Correct inaccuracies

It has been brought to my attention that some information in my original report on this site are inaccurate.
It wasn't until a dispute against my claim was made that I realized the monies owed to me were not near the $600 indicated in my initial report. It was closer to $350. The dispute to my claim was sent to me in over a week after the initial report was filed on this site.
I also would like to note that when this report was initially filed on this site it was after being notified by the Labor Division of California that this case MAY go to a hearing. In my initial report I stated that I didn't have the money to file a claim. I meant to say, that I didn't have the money to attend a hearing to this claim and report to California.
My former employer and I, with the help of the Labor Division of California, are in the process of settling this case.
It is never my intention to file inaccurate information. I always like to be honest and fair.
