I work with a direct market company called Scentsy.

A couple times a year I will recieve emails usually with poor grammer and poor english, explaining that they have a rather large order and they will have someone come to my house on such a date with a cashier's check and to respond asap.

These emails all vary, but all are basically the same. Big Orders, Cashier Check and your information.

This is criminal. It's bad. There is too many innocent people taken in on this scam. I know because my husband and I was taken for 6,000 cash, 2 years ago, never to see it.

Hello I recently started to sell avon products. and recieved a email from linda willams. wanting to order my products.

I emailed her back and we went back and forth for a few days. she sent me info on what she wanted to order and then when it was time to pay me it took forever to recieve the check. Then I get a email stateing that her manager made a mistake ad sent me her flight money also and wanted me 2 western union the rest back to someone named allison smith in ky. so I checked my mail.

I found a check that was over nighted to me and it was for 1300.00 I freaked out was so upset to have to be responsible for that amount of money.. I went to my bank and told my teller what was going on.. They said they would not cash her check said it was a scam... i am lucky to not have cashed it si in ttal I only lot 110.00 in my sales. but could have lost a lot more if i would have done what she wanted..

i called the cell number she so called text me from it is a black male. antwoine suville or something like that... i hope everyone stays clear from anyone trying to buy something from you.. Make sure you know who your dealing with before you fallinto a gaint scam...

#2 UPDATE Employee

Linda Williams is not now, nor has she EVER been connected in any way to Affinity Models

Hello all,

I was fortunate enough to receive a call from the authors of this report (the owners of Sentsy) about Linda Williams because in fact, whomever she is, she is fraudulently posing as an employee of our legitimate, licensed, bonded, franchised talent agency.

We do not know "Linda Williams". "Linda Williams" has no legitimate association with our company, Affinity Models, and we do not know who this person is.

We have received several reports recently from companies inquiring as to why this person, who, again has NO ASSOCIATION with our company, is asking for products/services and telling them she is an employee.

We'd certainly appreciate anyone who can find out who this 'Linda Williams' is and help us to stop this person from falsely representing herself as part of our company which has been in business since 1998.

If anyone has tips as to how to bust this person and get them to stop, we'd appreciate it.

It's a bit unfortunate that they put our name in the title next to the word scam, as it is this "Linda Williams" who is perpetrating this fraud, and she is not someone we know, or have any association with.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Ross Grossman

Affinity Models

You name a person in your title yet I see no connection between the title and what you stated.
