I signed up for the Linkedin Business membership for the monthly service charge of $19.95 per month which is automatically deducted form my checking account each month. Previously I had been a free account user since April 2008

The start date of the service was January 2008.

Their contract states I can cancel at anytime. I contacted Linkedin via there online support form to downgrade my account to the standard free account on June 28, 2008. There response was that they could not find any account for me. I contacted them again on 7/10/2008 with the following in my request.

"Please downgrade my account back to the free version. I have had no use for the business account.
please make effective immediately. This was originally requested on 6/28. My account is under:

eric@xxxxxxxxxxx

Please resolve this immediately.

Thanks

Eric"

There response:

"Dear Eric,

Thank you for contacting LinkedIn Customer Support.

I would be more than happy to downgrade your account. However, I did not see an account associated with the e-mail address you provided. Can you please respond to this message with all of the possible e-mail addresses that may be associated with your account?

Regards,
Derek H.
Customer Service Representative"

My final email reply to them was:

"Again, my email is eric@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I've sent this before with no response. Please reply swiftly. I WILL NOT pay you for another month of a business account. "

I've contacted them at there Mountain View offices via phone and have left messages(2 to be exact) to have my account downgraded. When I had no call back response or change in my account I demanded that the receptionist at Linkedin transfer me to a person that can resolve this issue immediately. She refused to transfer me to someone I can talk to to. Voice mail was the ONLY option provided.

They obviously have no intention of allowing me to cancel my upgraded account as promised in their contract. After all my attempts to downgrade my account, they have had no response, only run-arounds. They continue to debit my account for this service. All I want is for them to downgrade my account and refund me the $19.95 for the month of July since I originally contacted them in June.
