The title that they kept of yours is not even a good title. Once the lien is taken off the title is null and void and a new title number for the new title without the lien is made. That title is no good. As far as being a ripoff. Yes the interest is high but the contract that you signed also showed you that. That is why title loans and payday loans are called highrisk. They are taking a risk when they give someone with bad credit a loan. I myself have taken out payday loans but never talked bad about the places I received them from. They helped me!! They were there for me when a bank wasn't. Because of my bad credit I had to pay a high interest rate. That is not their fault. If it wasn't for them I would have had other bills that would have gone unpaid. As far as them not giving you your title back you should have looked into the laws before you even did a title loan. The law in WI now is the leinholder keeps the title until the loan is paid off. The title you brought in when you did the loan was no longer valid once the lien was put on. The title they received with the lien on was nolonger valid once the lien was taken off so the title is basically a piece of paper and wouldn't do you any good. You couldn't sign the back of it and sell your car because there is no longer a title with that title number. As for the comment I paid the amount of the loan back plus. Anywhere you take out a loan you will pay back the loan amount plus. It's called interest and anyone that gives out loans charges it. I am greatful for places like this, they have helped me out when no one else would and never gave me any grief.
