Company said it would be $55 to unlock my car.  The guy shows up and tried to charge me 155. Scam.  Then threatened to call the police because I refused to pay.  Then called me a b*tch as he left.  NEVER use this company.  Ever!

Pricing

AUTHOR: Ben - ()

POSTED: Thursday, September 12, 2013

It seems that this customer misunderstood our pricing

We charge a $19 Service call for a technician to come out to the location, and Auto Lockout Services begin at $35.

Our phone operators are not qualified to give exact pricing, with limited exceptions.  The exact pricing will always be based on the specific vehicle, options, and what's required to open that specific vehicle, and will always be quoted by the service person on site.

Our Website, which the customer so kindly provided a link to clearly states

"

Our Pricing - $19 Service call fee plus labor and hardware costs
Basic Fee
Service Call Fee - Trip Charge $19 (fixed)
Other Fees
Re-Keying starting at $19*
Lockout Service: Commercial, Residential, Vehicle starting at $35*
Changing Out Locks starting at $35*
New Installation (Door without a cut out for the lock) starting at $50*
Vehicle Key Making starting at $90**
Ignition Change Out starting at $120**
Transponder Key Re-Programming (Key with a chip) starting at $65**
Automotive Key Extraction (The key is broke off or stuck in the ignition) starting at a non refundable $65 initial deposit**

* Cost is a minimum estimate for the service. The final cost can vary. It will depend on the security level of the lock in addition to labor charges.

** Cost is a minimum estimate for the service. Every key or ignition is differently built and cut so, the final cost can vary. It will depend on the difficulty of the job and programming cost if required.

Please Note: The total amount will be $19 service call fee plus Labor Cost and Hardware or Locks Cost (if purchased). Also take into note that our dispatchers will only give an approximate estimate of the cost for the service, based on a description of the issue given by the consumer. The actual difficulty or service may differ once our technician examines your issue, therefore the costs can vary.

In the event of a disagreement over pricing, the $19 service call is still due to the technician, to cover time and fuel costs.   In the event a customer refuses to pay, we reserve the right to call the police, and file a criminal complaint for theft of services.

Our website lists our starting prices, and our phone operators work from a script, in a monitored call center to assure that we accurately tell customers that these are only starting rates, and that only a technician can give them a total.
