This is a follow up to the one I wrote in 2003 about them. Here is a short version from 1999 to present. In 1999 Long Beach Mortgage refused to accept/credit any payments made to the loan from us. I tried paying via cashiers check. They cashed a few cashiers check then didn't credit it to the account number (that money is lost and still haven't recovered that money), then started refusing and sending back the cashiers checks to us. Saying we were in default and was going to foreclose on our home. Was told about the foreclosure in mid- nov 1999 and they had it in court by Dec 1st, 99. In order not to lose our home we came up with the total loan amount due and had to pay alot of money because we were paying it off early. Even after they cashed to payoff cashiers check they still tried to foreclose on the property. They were ticked because we paid it off. Then we tried to get the deed to the property and they refused to clear it. We tried up to 2001 with letters back and forth to no avail. Then my husband died in 2001 and the matter with Long Beach Mortgage got put off. Now fast forward to May 2007. I had a sale pending on my home when the title search brought up that Long Beach Mortgage never took the lien off the property! I pulled out all the letter written back and forth between us and them to get the phone number, finds out it is now Washington Mutual. They are still the rude people they were 7 years ago. Needed proof that I paid off this loan, luckily with all the problem we had then I have a copy of the cashiers check that was cashed to pay off the loan. Well that is not good enough. They say it is bogus. I do have a lawyer helping me to get this straigtened out. They have been giving me the run around and very rude with him also. Now because of the problems they have given me, my buyer has backed out, has a lawsuit agaisnt me and my lawyer won't proceed with a lawsuit agasint Long Beach Mortgage for lost of sale! I have all the nasty letter that was sent from Long Beach Mortgage from 7 years ago.

Please never use Long Beach Mortgage or Washington Mutual for anything. They just screw you and tell you they are bigger than you are, Threatens you financially and health if you proceed against them. I though when we paid off the loan in 1999 we were done with the bank with no business ethics. No, just in round 2 with them and because I am a normal average person will once again be screwed by them!
