Long Distance Consolidated Billing Long Distance Scam / Slam Nationwide

LDCB called representing themselves as CenturyLink, our local and long distance provider. They said that CenturyLink would no longer be doing their own billing and that LDCB would be sending us a paper bill. When she said that our guaranteed maximum rate would be 9.9 cents per minute I knew something was up. We currently pay $3.99 for unlimited calling. She said she was going to transfer me over to a verifier, at which point I hung up. They immediately called back and I hung up on them. I called CenturyLink and ordered a PIC Freeze, meaning that no one can change our local or long distance carrier unless I call CenturyLink and verify it with them.
