I ordered a Sea Glass Christmas tree (seen on a facebook ad) for a total of $32.67.
Via email thru a website link, I was assured, when asking a question about the tree, that I would receive "the item exactly as pictured." What arrived was a cheap, plastic dime-store tree. Deliberate bait and switch!
Nowhere on the company's website did it say it was shipping from China or I wouldn't have ordered it.
DOZENS of people have been duped by this same scam company for a variety of items. PayPal is being besieged by complaints from all of us who paid via PayPal to these Chinese scammers.
The Chinese offered to refund me only $12 IF I shipped the cheap plastic tree back to China, AT MY COST. ONLY when they received it would they (allegedly) refund $12. I'd have to be crazy to fall for that additional scam.
I've filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission in an attempt to try to stop this company. I noted that the website I used to order the Christmas tree has since been shut down.
