Low Mileage Engines.com CARFAX SCAM Beware! Ripoff Memphis Tennessee

REGARDING MIKE's comments,

Perhaps true,  but not for the reasons stated. Just because your two examples cannot supply a Carfax, doesn't mean lowmileageengines.com can't.  In fact, lowmileageengines did supply me with a Carfax report that completely validated the engine mileage of the engine I received! Ultimately, the condition of the engine is best proof that the Carfax report is accurate.

Could a Carfax report understate mileage? Absolutely, because they depends on repair shops accurately reporting the mileage to them. However, a Carfax report is better than no report, and is independently obtained. I have no doubt my report was accurate because the car was totaled out in the first 6 months when the engine only had 7K miles on it. To get more miles it would have had to be installed into another vehicle and more than likely, not available to me. The pristine condition of the engine supported the Carfax report.

As long as the the Carfax report shows the reason your engine became salvaged then that mileage is going to be accurate unless the unlikely event the engine was salvaged again in a different vehicle with a different VIN.  This is an issue with CARFAX, not lowmileageengines.  I'm confident if my engine was different than the one I was expecting, the Wade would have sent me another minus perhaps shipping.  Lowmileageengines.com obviously has some risk too,  since they are representing something they have never seen either.

Seriously Mike, this statement proves YOUR ignorance. If lowmileageengines.com would have used bogus VIN #'s from Autotrader, then the report VIN would not match up to the VIN on the engine! Not likely they could forge the report, since for around $25 you too can get the original report from Carfax!

This unfortunately proves you are ignorant as well.  GoDaddy is a HUGE registar of website names for businesses and private individuals.  Unless you pay a web design company big bucks, the best (and lowest cost) way  to create a website is direct registration through someone like GoDaddy.  But obviously you have not created your own websites before. 

But most IGNORANT is claiming lowmileageengines.com is running a scam because they use a domain by proxy, then give supporting information that proves they did not use a proxy!  A proxy is exactly that!  Someone else's name would have been listed in the WHOIS lookup,  not the registered owners of lowmileageengines.com if they registered by proxy (and payed the extra money to do so to GoDaddy).

SO WHY DID I TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE THIS?

Lowmileageengines.com and Wade did supply me with an engine with ONLY 7,000 miles on it.  He supplied a Carfax report showing the engine was in a car that was totaled 6 months after the original owner bought the car.  The engine VIN # MATCHED the Carfax report VIN number. 

Most importantly, the engine still had some minor damage on the exhaust manifold from the original wreck (substantiating it was never used in another car) and looked like a 7K mile engine (extremely clean oil and engine surfaces under the valve covers). I also have pictures showing the incredible condition of this engine.   Best of all I paid $1000 including shipping, and extended warranty! The dealer wanted $4000 for a 80K engine installed (My 7K engine was about 2K installed with labor etc.). 

Lowmileageengines.com and Wade is a broker of auto parts. I looked online and didn't find anything close to this engine.  Most places wanted over $500 for anything that ran with over 80K on it. Obviously Wade made a small profit, but I feel he could have, but did not,  gouge me after finding an engine with only 7K miles on it. He could have charged additional  premium,  but stuck with original estimates and pricing from his website.  Wade was thrilled he found me such an engine with so low miles, not looking for excuses to charge me more!

The owner of the company still created a lengthy reply to a complaint from someone who is ignorant, slanderous, and worst off, has not indicated they have even conducted business with the company they are slandering.

Is lowmileageengines.com perfect? Surely not, as any company can have transactions go awry especially when involving third party responsibility like shipping, or how the engine was packed for shipping, dependance on Carfax accuracy etc. Considering this, I was surprised BBB had relatively few complaints for lowmileageengines.com since they are so dependent on others to represent and ship the product. 

Until i read this thread, I didn't know Wade had a religious side, so he doesn't use it predominately on his website, or in his business dealings.  Doesn't sway me one way or another in business, as I have seen wrongdoing by people using religion as a front, as well as secular persons as well.  (But most importantly, good from both sides of the fence)  
 
I felt compelled to write such a testimonial after reading how unfair this complaint was to a company I had such a great experience with. I suggest paying attention to complaints from people that have actually had a transaction with the company and asking Wade how can we avoid the same experience that people had from a legitimate complaint.

I have not done biz with this company, but to say that a company could only be a scam if registered with GoDaddy is the height of absurdity and ignorance.

There are many reasons to use re-directs. My company has never had a chargeback in 7+ years of online business and 19 years total business, and guess what?! Our URL(s) are registered at GoDaddy! And we use redirects...why? Because you get better Google quality scores when you can use a name that has keywords in it.

The anti-religious bias I can see...I don't use it in business because your life should show your integrity, not your words. However, to say I won't do business with a company because they are forthright about faith is purely narrow-minded and bigoted. Check yourself here.

This whole discussion is obviously trumped up by a competitor (I'm a decal manufacturer with no bone to pick with anyone here, but the absolute ridiculousness of the allegations with no proof/evidence should be struck from this website's record.

Unfortunately, while ROR is generally valuable, they do allow junk like this on here. Hopefully LME hasn't suffered much from these slanderous/libelous posts.

I am considering purchasing an engine from this company...if I am truly ripped off, I'll let you know...otherwise, folks, consider the bulk of these posts purely baloney.

I am so happy to see people are finally able to give an honest opinion online. As the people see at low mileage engines we the people know better. If you just quit hiding carfax and come clean your business would do better. People know it is impossible to do what you claim.

Furthermore BBB membership means absolutely nothing. The BBB is nothing but an extortion scam.

I went to this person's ebay site and it is a joke. It has generic listings and shows pictures of what appears to be new cars with clean engines. I have never seen a salvage engine that runs in a new looking car that is not wrecked!

Mike, I want to thank you for making folks aware that the only way to buy a used engine off of a salvage yard in the U.S.A is with a CARFAX to Verify the mileage.

If I tell a customer I am selling them a engine with 43,000 miles, I provide a CARFAX showing the donor vehicle had 43 to 44 thousand miles at the time it was purchased at the salvage auction and the key it that the CARFAX shows it was purchased @ a salvage auction.

This can be further verified by calling you new car dealer and mathching the engine identifying #'s to the VIN that is on the CARFAX.

Japanese takeout engines or JDM engines are not available with a CARFAX.
