Lumera Eye Serum and ("sister company") Dermanique Buyer Beware - Dermanique and Lumera Greenville South Carolina

I purchased a trial of Lumera and Dermanique and did receive the product (which I actually liked). Trial was priced at $4.95 each (for a 1-month supply) and charged to my debit card.

I was billed 2 weeks later and decided that the product was too expensive (Lumera is $87.67 and Dermanique is $97.88) for me to continue with the product. I decided that I would keep the next month's supply that had been charged to my account(I thought), assuming that it had been sent.  I immediately called the company (Lumera first) and was told by a representative named Rebecca that the second charge to my credit card (for Lumera) was not for a second shipment but for the product that I had already received!  I cancelled the account and am waiting for a confirmation e-mail to be sent. I did state my opinion to her that I had serious concern's about her company's business practices. She started to "explain" to me that the add very clearly stated their terms - which it did not!

 Rebecca told me that to cancel the order for Dermanique, Lumera's "sister company", I needed to call the phone number sent with the product.

I called the second company's (Dermanique) number and I got their representative - Rebecca!  The same person I had just spoken with about the Lumera - who had told me I had to call their "sister company".  I am also waiting for the confirmation e-mail from them.  I told her how upset I was that she would make me call twice (and be placed on hold twice) and she proceeded to argue with me.  That's when I decided to write this complaint for all to read!

So, I've been taken for a total of $200 and there is nothing that can be done!  It had better make me beautiful! I've finally learned two things - read the fine print and don't order any trial products on-line. I hope that the word gets out about the poor business practices of this (these) companies.  Everything that you read about this being a scam is true - believe it!
