In February 2009, I noticed a charge on my credit card for $89 to MK Supplements. I did not make this charge and had never heard of the company. However, the company had obtained my name, credit card# and address. I initially tried to contact the company via their 866 number. Eventually, I noticed that the only customer service assistance provided by this firm is a message that the customer can leave on their voicemail system. I have left about 10 messages in the past month, and I also sent an email to their online website. I have never had any responses from this company. I filed an investigation with my credit card company in April 2009.

The company responded to this investigation by giving the credit card company the same 866# for me to call for instructions to return the product (I had never ordered or received this product.) I later filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Western Washington on April 27, 2009. In this complaint, I requested that the Bureau obtain shipping information on ths transaction (since I had never received the product, even though the company apparently had my correct address). Immediately after this, I received 2 bottles of supplements from this company. The bottles came in a package with 6 US postage stamps, and was not metered by any post office, and the package did not include any paperwork. Keep in mind, I never ordered any products from the company. I followed the return instructions given on the company's automated 866#, and learned from the automated system that all returns should be made within 20 days of receipt. The charge was made on my card on Feb. 6. I received this product (that I did not order) on 5/1/2009. However, the package that the product was sent in had no postage or metered stamping from any post office, thus, there is still no shipping information for this product.

In researching blogs, I understand that this company has a practice of internet spamming. Originally, I had thought that someone had obtained by credit card info and had made a purchase. I now beleive that this company has a practice of making fraudelant sales by (illegally) obtaining credit card infomation online via spamming. Customers should beware of this company, and report them immediately report similar problems to their credit card company and the Better Business Bureau of Alaska, Oregon & Western Washington.

Update: Company wants me to remove my post from RipOff.com--Thank you RipOff.Com

AUTHOR: Lwilkerson - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 17, 2009

After filing complaints with the Police Dept, U.S. Postmasters in both my state and the state for MK Supplements, the BBB, and after my 2nd fraud charge investigation by my credit card company, the credit card company finally credited the amount on my card. The original fraudulent charge was made by MK Supplements on 2/6/2009. The 'customer service' for this company is non existent, as their numbers lead the customer to a dead end; and they have never responded to any of my phone messages or email. I am confident, that had I not invoked the various avenues available to the consumers (such as RipOff.Com), this company had no intention whatsoever of addressing this fraudulent charge on my account.

After they were first contacted by my credit card company in April, they made an attempt to cover up this illegal charge by immediately sending me a package of supplements (that I never ordered). Their response to the company was that they would not refund, as I had received the product (I received the product only after their response to the credit card company.). It was only after my 2nd investigation request (along with a police report, BBB report, etc.), did the card company reinvestigate and credit my card.

HOWEVER, I received a letter from MK Supplements 2 days ago, which was signed by "Anna L., Executive Operations". Anna asked that I "remove your comment on the rip off report" or include that I was refunded by the company prior to my report (please see the above paragraph). "Anna L." adds that "statements for the purpose of humiliating...or slander is unacceptable." Note: This letter was actually signed "Anna L." (A professional letter would not by signed with only an initial for the last name. In addition, the letter was cc'd to "Legal". This scare tactic is not successful.) Incidentally, both the Police Dept. and the U.S. Post Master have stated that the package from the company (with 6 stamps and no postage metering) was suspect. Both are currently investigating.

Apparently, this company, who charged my credit card for a product that I never ordered, who never responded to any of my own attempts to resolve the matter, and who went as far as sending the product in order to cover up this illegal charge, feels like this is a matter of slander. My legal education teaches my that slander has to be an intended lie. I never sought MK Supplements out; I never ordered their product; I never gave them my address, credit card number or phone number. Yet they seem to feel that I have harmed them. And I would welcome the members of RipOff.Com to correct me on this one if I'm wrong, but I believe there is a legal right to post such matters on RipOff.Com. If this were not so, I'm pretty sure the site would have been shut down by now.

My original impression of MK Supplements still stands and has been re-enforced by my latest correspondence from "Anna L." This is not a reputable business. As stated in my original post, similar problems with MK Supplements should be pursued by all avenues possible: credit card company, police, US Mail Post Master, BBB and apparently, RipOff.Com.

Thank you RipOff

MK Sales is a Ripoff and Fraudulent

I received the same package from MK Sales and returned it - never heard of them - never ordered it - I dont know how they got my credit card number. I called my credit card immediately and made them reverse the charge. It is under investigation. On 5/11/09 I received another package from them and returned it. I notified my credit card company again and said not to honor the charge. I never received any information on how to contact them when I looked them up - This report showed up when I searched again. Thank you for letting me know it happened to you - I wonder how many more people have experienced this.
