I purchased a IBook G4 from Mac Mall for $994.00.
It never worked properly from day one. Eventually,
(actually 3 days after receipt), it completely died on me and they refused to take it back.

Instead, I had to contact Apple support to schedule to have it repaired. I hadn't had it a week and it's in repair. Neither Mac Mall nor Apple would allow me to return it.

DON'T GIVE UP

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 01, 2004

I had a similar situation with an internet merchant, who also refused to give a refund or exchange a defective PC. Even though he kept insisting that there was no warranty, in most states, there is something called "implied warranty of merchantibility", which means that there is an implied warranty that the item purchase can be used for it's intended purpose. After I looked up his state statute and sent the information obtained about filing against him in his local court, I got a prompt refund.

I don't quite understand why Apple won't allow it to be returned.
