Magic Jack ,YMax Corp Magic Jack requires a whole lot of consumer "Magic" to get through to them Internet

After reviewing blogs, threads, and general e-mail discussions of the "Magic Jack" plug-in VOIP device, I am now of the opinion that this device is not all the "magic" it is cracked up to be for the general consumer who is generally not all that tech savy.

Regardless of what you may think of this product - good or bad, the basic inherent downfall of this company (Which is really named YMax Corp) is that they border on being fraudulent with the almost total lack of customer support.

As with most internet based companies, they make it extremely easy to order and pay for the product. That's where this company's legitimacy ends. Now just try to communicate with them AFTER you have ordered the product. I challenge you to find a customer service e-mail address, physical address or phone number. What you will find is an e-mail chat link for "Tech Support."

The Tech Support people don't teally want to deal with complaints or cancellations. They just want you to keep the product and make sure it works. I truly believe they are "scripted" to tell you that they cannot handle returns or cancellations, only tech support.

Any legitimate company I have dealt with on the internet always has excellent customer service & follow up. That's the way "legitimate" companies operate. They stand behind their product with good customer service & support. They also have numerous & easy ways to contact them either by phone or e-mail. In some cases, these companies will list an actual physical address where you can send returns or US Mail correspondence.
