Margi Foley Palm Beach State College Massage Instructor I would have went to another massage program if I had known Boca Raton, Florida

So I like want to share my experience with going through the massage program at palm beach state college.  One of the instructors Margi Foley made my life and the life of some other people very difficult while attending the massage program.  Margi Foley is nice and everything but don't cross her or ask too many questions.  Margi will shut you down quicker than any one I have ever met.  There was 3 of us in the program that kept on having questions and you could just feel the frustration and anger in Margi slowly build.  She has no room for others opinions and if she thinks your question does not warrant an answer she will just ignore you.  She basically lost control of the class in a short time.

After a few weeks you could just feel the bad energy in the whole class and some of us complained to the program director Cheryl.  But instead of hearing our legitimate complaints there was an intervention instead.  Next thing we knew we were being brought into Cheryl's office one by one and being treated like little kids.  Margi Foley and Cheryl basically ganged up on us and I felt like I was back in grade school.  They turned this into a huge deal and we wasted about 2 days because we had to all write papers and have them evaluated.  Total waste of time and energy and our original complaints were not even heard.  It all got turned around to being our fault.

And like my class was not the only one.  Students in two classes after mine went through the exact same thing with Margi Foley.   I even know of one student that had to go to therapy because of this.  So the problem is that once you are in the program you are stuck unless you want to lose your tuition or try to switch to another school.  This is how palm beach state college gets away with this kind of treatment, they basically have you over a barrel.  So I had to bow down to Margi Foley and her patronizing ways.

I will admit it got easier as time went on and Margi chilled out after a while but if I knew of this I would have went to another program.  Life it too short to deal with patronizing instructors who only see things their way.  In one sentence, Margi Foley does not practice what she preaches.
