OK, here goes.
So I have been living at the Marquis Downtown in Houston, TX for about 6 months with my 12 year old son.
About a month ago the Courtesy Officer on Staff (Caucasian male, dresses homosexual) made sexual advances toward my son on two occasions on his way downstairs to walk to the bus stop to school (inappropriate touching- better left unsaid). When my son told me, I quickly called the management and spoke to Carlos and told him what happened. Carlos told me that he would advise the manager and that she was off that day. The next day comes and still no call. I go down to the office and found out the name of the Courtesy Officer only to find out that he is a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER and they STILL allowed him to work at the complex AND he was the COURTESY OFFICER! He has made numerous sexual advances toward the younger males in the complex and this is no secret among the tenants.
When I finally got a chance to talk with the manager, I requested to break my lease and move out immediately. She denied my request saying it is against corporate policy, I was shocked- and told her we were moving out regardless. They charged me two months rent and KEPT my security deposit! I just filed a police report today against the Courtesy Officer.
DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS COMPLEX, THERE IS NO TELLING WHAT THE COURTESY OFFICER WILL DO IF YOUNG BOYS ARE AROUND.

Still sounds phony.

The original report was almost a month ago. You supposedly reported that this alleged sex offender was working around kids back in April. What happened with that?
The fact that you (supposedly) waited a whole month to report this to the cops, leads me to believe that this is something other than what you claim.

Another question that needs to be asked

How in the world did someone that is supposedly a child molester (if that is what you are saying this person supposedly is) get a job working as a courtesy officer in a building where he has access to children.
Sounds like someone is either trying to get out of their lease or local law enforcement is slacking off somewhere along the way.

Can you please explain..

What exactly does "dresses homosexual" mean? I wasn't aware that you could determine if someone was a homosexual/heterosexual by the way they dressed? Can you please enlighten us on the difference between the clothes a homosexual wears compared to a heterosexual.
Also, why did it take you so long(not to mention your neighbors) to file a police report? According to this report this happened a month ago and you just filled a report. If it was my son my first call would not have been to the Management..it would have been to the police. If I happened to see it occur..well let's just say there may not have been a second time.
THERE IS NO TELLING WHAT THE COURTESY OFFICER WILL DO IF YOUNG BOYS ARE AROUND.
- There is telling what the residents will do...ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. Where if this is true that is the real RipOff.

Next step should be civil case

Hopefully you specifically stated to the management company that you were breaking your lease because of the conduct of this employee.
You should be able to get your security deposit back since you left because the complex was not a safe environment for your son.
What is the name of this sex offender?? How did you find out he was a sex offender? Did you verify the information with a state website? There are many categories of sex offenders and being a sex offender does not necessarily make him a child molester.

Where are the police reports about this? When did you file a police report about what happened to your son? When did any of your neighbors file police reports?
