RIP OFF: RED FLAG: We hired her for wedding photo's for $2,700, this was to include the album and photo's on a CD, she took the wedding photo's and then charged us $300 for the pic's on CD, thank god we paid extra for those because we never received the wedding album, she kept promising and promising that she would give us the album, she was just holding us off long enough so that she could file BANKRUPTCY and keep our money.

Mr. Larkin,
Sorry, but your response is inaccurate at best. You are out $600-$700. That's it.
Also, you claim to have never received the message about the delay. Let us refresh your memory: Here is the message, sent April 5, 2009, by James Mahoney, which is still on file with all threads of your responses:
April 5, 2009
Mary Jo Mahoney Photography
To Our Clients:
Thank you for your patience and support during Mary Jo's extended health
crisis. Though her recovery progresses, the resultant business and
personal fiscal difficultiescombined with the widespread economic
conditionshave forced us to suspend regular operations effective
immediately. I have assumed control of Mary Jo Mahoney Photography until
further notice.
For those of you who still have prepaid albums or photographic work
underway, rest assured that we are continuing limited production and your
product will be deliveredalbeit long after the time we originally
expected. We will contact you individually over the next two weeks with
specific details on your product. We apologize for the unfortunate delay.
Please direct any correspondence to me personally at
jfmahoney@rocketmail.com. Best regards,
James Mahoney
for Mary Jo Mahoney Photography
Rant, rave, slander, libel, throw a tizzy, write more specious comments, hell, stand on your rooftop and bellow to the winds, but you are out a mere $600-700, not thousands as you claim. Plus, you now have full access to thousands of beautiful photos, photos you may print to your heart's content, photos that certainly make the two of you appear attractiveno small feat.
At least you found schadenfreude in the Mahoney family's misfortune. Perhaps someday life will deal you a troubled hand, and you too can experience a callousness equal to your own.

"When became apparent that Ms. Mahoney's illness would temporarily prevent her from fulfilling all of her contracts in a timely order, you and her other clients were informed that there would be a delay in delivering your books.".We were NEVER, again I repeat NEVER informed that there will be a delay in receiving our album.
"We sent DVD's with a complete set of photos in large jpeg format to all clients so they could print any or all of the thousands of event photos Ms. Mahoney and her team produced." This is a misleading statement as we paid $300 for this CD/DVD.
She did apologize about the delay of the process in "posting the pictures online". It took her 3 months to post the pictures while it normally takes less than a week for other photographers. It took nearly one year for us to get to the point of putting the pictures together for the wedding album at her home office because she would not get back to our phone calls and messages. She finally set up an appointment for us to come to her home office to put together the wedding album, and this is when we bought the CD/DVD of our wedding pictures for $300. We decided to do that because we were afraid that we would never get a hold of her again, and we would never see our wedding pictures again. This is the last time Mary Jo Mahoney has ever contacted us. We left plenty of messages on her phone asking when the wedding album will be ready, and NOT ONCE she has ever call us back.
Illness is not an excuse for a business professional to ignore a client's phone calls and messages. You are right on one thing Mr. Badger Chase Harris, after all the frustration that she put us through, we were happy to hear that she lost her photo business. As for her bankruptcy and home foreclosure, karma did give her what she deserves.

To address the complaint filed by Mr. Joseph Larkin:
Charges for 7 hours of photography and post-production constitute $2700 of your claim. You received this service, as well as over 1000 full-size jpegs and full rights to make all of the prints you wish. The only aspect of your contract that the now-defunct Mary Jo Mahoney Photography did not fulfill was the Leather Craftsman album, worth $600-$700.
When became apparent that Ms. Mahoney's illness would temporarily prevent her from fulfilling all of her contracts in a timely order, you and her other clients were informed that there would be a delay in delivering your books. We sent DVD's with a complete set of photos in large jpeg format to all clients so they could print any or all of the thousands of event photos Ms. Mahoney and her team produced.
A number of unfortunate economic factors exacerbated the situation, and the bankruptcy was a personal filing to protect the Mahoney family. You were included as a small part of the total debt. With her illness, bankruptcy, home foreclosure, and loss of her photo business, at least you realized your ultimate wish, as quoted from your email of September 1, 2009: "I hope karma gets her in the worst way. I wish nothing but the worst for her." May you now find joy.
To her well-wishers, thank you for your caring words. I would like to add that Ms. Mahoney's health has improved.
