Maxine Snow, is a typical deadbeat, preying on small freelancers working for competitive wages as it is from companies and individuals over seas.
Maxine hired me and paid for a website and after it was completed she then moved it from my servers and reversed the charges on her credit card.
This is a growing situation with people taking advantage of internet work when they know they can take the payment back after the work has been done.
Very disheartening..

The Botched Website. I Rest My Case.

I didn't remove my website and tell my credit card company that it didn't exist....as Steve Primeau says. On the contrary, I photocopied it and sent it snail mail along with copies of all the emails sent to/from Steve Primeau. The website was a very important part of the evidence. WEBSITE: The website looks nice at first glance. That is because the pictures are pretty. Steve didn't take the pictures. I emailed them to him. Page 1 was to consist of 2 large pictures & a title. The water picture at the top and then the buildings picture underneath. Steve apparently couldln't figure out how to fit the buildings picture on the page, so he cut off the ends and put it at the top of the page. Then he put the water picture underneath it. THEN , he put the ends back on , shrunk it and put the building picture on the page a 2nd time! So Page one has 3 pictures...2 are the same! I guess he thought if he separated the 2 versions of the same picture, noone would notice it was the same picture. THEN, the first picture on page 2? Surprise! The buildings picture, yet a 3rd time! Page 2 was the thumbnail page....wrought with errors and incomplete. I was suppose to get 12 pictures on that page. 2 were repeats from page 1, 2 were suppose to be replaced with others, 2 were blanks. So I only got 6. I had page 3, all text, waiting to send. It was at that point that Steve quit. I emailed but got no response as to why he wouldn't put the rest of the pictures up or correct Page 1. After 10 days of nothingness, it was clear, Steve had dropped me. I was out of his life. He had the money, was 10 states away and thought I had no recourse. I asked for my money back. A couple of his comments: "refund for my time are you kidding me?" & "the website is fantastic". So I filed for a refund & started looking for a new webman....this time in the same state, per Craiglists advice. End of story. Not quite......Steve put me on this Rip Off Report. The voila moment here is that Steve Primeau thinks that this website is great. I rest my case.

She knows the game and plays well, its not like a court case, you removed the site and told your credit card company it didn't exist, and since I wasn't contacted to provide proof there was no "both sides"
You show here you intensionally lied to get it reversed. "I had to get
GoDaddy to take it down and dispose of it" then file a claim, your a SCAM!
Give me the credit card name and we can go through it with both sides ....

Made error on personal information

I erred in saying that my personal information was given out in Steve Primeau's rip off report posted on this site & that it went against the Rip Off Report rules. I thought it said NOT to give personal info...... but that was only for "personal financial information". In fact Rip Off Report says quite the opposite...... If you are making a report, be sure to include name, address & phone number of the person you are reporting so rip off readers can call that person directly to give an opinion. I apologize for getting these rules mixed up and stating them incorrectly on my first rebuttal. Maxine Snow

A Credit Card Company can't just give a refund.

Steve Primeau broke the rules of Rip Off report by including my phone number , email and place of residence. 2ndly he was not honest in his report..... which should be obvious to anyone who has had trouble with a bad purchase online using PayPal/creditcard. You cannot just ask your credit card company for a refund. You have to provide absolute proof that must be documented with emails, & in my case, pictures of the botched website, get experts on the subject to write reports. Then my credit card co enters a disbute with the seller's bank.... providing all the evidence....which is disbuteable. It's like a court case. Only when the person who is right is agreed upon by both parties financial backers is a "winner" declared. That person gets the money. I'm very surprised that Steve Primeau would call attention to himself, given this process. He clearly was declared guilty of bungling my website. And I didn't, " move", my website, as Steve Primeau said. I had to get GoDaddy to take it down and dispose of it. I had to hire a new webbuilder to build another site, which is lovely. It took only a couple of days. I paid the new man and recommend him highly to all who ask. I'm a 69 year old retired woman who has never filed for a refund with my credit card in the past. I trusted Steve Primeau because he was affiliated with PayPal. I found out that PayPal can only help with bad purchases made on eBay....no where else.

You don't hire someone to do work and then cancel payment after the do it, I hope you too are hired some time and they take the money back after you finished the work.
Sounds more like you and her do this a lot.

I happen to know Maxine Snow and knew of her problems with your service; I saw the website you created and it was one of the most poorly designed websites I've seen - clearly there were problems with the images. I also know that she tried on several occasions to contact you with her concerns while you were 'building' her site and you chose NOT to respond to her.
From a consumer's standpoint, the only recourse we have with an internet-based company who fail to provide the service promised is through our credit card companies.
Before you decide to defame someone's name, you might want to brush up on your skills.

You say you built the website. Either you are not a good web developer, or you are lying. I could have built a better site. If you did indeed build the site, here is a suggestion - how about using photos that are not crooked next time?! Wish I knew who YOU were so I would know not to hire you. Honestly - if I paid you to build a site for my business (I have a Maine business) and it turned out that way, you better believe I'd have reversed the charges too!!
