Got totally ripped off by this company, was there to celebrate going back to work and spend time with my family. They made it sound so wonderful, spoiled us while we were there and told us how great an investment this would be. We were lied to and made to believe we were making a great income producing purchase. As soon as we got back and had to call someone about the transaction should have been our first clue, but we went on paying our monthly payment for over a year, before we caught on to them. Unfortunately, because we were not smarter at the time, we lost over eight thousand dollars $8,000.00.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam
AUTHOR: MonicaT85 - ()

I am an owner of a Mayan Palace timeshare unit of considerable expense. I have tried to make reservations and have been constantly given misinformation. This has occurred after hours of trying to get through on the phone. I would like to warn people not to buy any Mayan resort units if they want to go any time in the winter since they will not be able to get a reservation. I can't use what I bought

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

The sales tactics are the same for everyone at the Mayan Palace timeshare resorts. Hard sell, disrespectful when you say no, broken promises. DO NOT think for one moment that you have an upper hand...these are professional con artists highly trained to take your money. You have no chance of ever seeing your money again or receiving anything close to the value you were promised. Assume that everything posted by Grupo Mayan and its affiliates is a lie or a scam. Never do business with this company; never buy a mayan palace timeshare

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

Mayan Palace resorts are very beautiful, it's a shame that they have to ruin everything with their misleading timeshare sales practices. Also, never believe that a timeshare is a financial investment, you will never make any money out of them, they're worthless. You are not alone on this, i recommend you to read this article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions about mayan palace timeshare scams:

Also scammed by Grupo Mayan

We were alsoripped off by Grupo Mayan and its related companies. When wepurchased 5 years ago, they failed to disclose significant hidden fees that came due earlier this year. Over the past5 years, we attended each "update meeting" on future visits under false pretense...everything from getting a 10% discount off the bill to $200 credit. Everysingle verbal promise made was broken and several written terms were hidden in "checklists" that were glossed over and disguised during the presentations. The rebuttal from Karen Rose surprised me, but I would be even more surprised if they actually made you whole. We were practically laughed at by the people in Puerta Vallarta when they heard our story. These are highly-trained professional con artists as I have been told by several Mayan employees in confidence. Since they bring dollars to Mexico and provide jobs, nobody is willing to stop them. The best way is to inform US and Canadian consumers through forums like this to stay away. Remember that nothing is free and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Mayan stole from us!

Per the response, I was just made aware that someone actually responded to my report. You ask me to contact you to resolve this matter, but that was exactly what I had done years ago with no resolution. I was told that I was not ever explained or told it could be a money making investment and that I had gotten my information mixed up. Insulting my intelligence, I tried to speak with someone else, but still got nothing. I had spent over $8000.00 and everytime I was only a few days late, I would get a call making sure I was sending my payment and as always did within the alloted time frame. I am discusted with Mayan and anything that has to do with this company and because of them have never returned to Mexico and probably never will. This has left a bad taste in our mouths that we do not trust any sales person and run from anyone who mentions time share, investment property or other. I would love to settle this but the only way this will be settled is if I get all my money back. You can reach me at (((Redacted)))
Thanks An Honest Texan!
