MBNA HOLDS PAYMENTS SO THEY CAN ACCESS LATE FEES AND FINANCE CHARGES ripoff Wilmington Delaware

Two months in a row, MBNA has posted my payments made to them 1 day late so that they can charge a $39 late fee plus additional finance charges.

When I call to complain, they ignore me. They do not want to admit that they are doing this intentionally. How can an online payment be posted more than 8 days after it was deducted from my bank account? It is ABSOLUTELY absurd and unheard of. Especially when every other company I make payments to post within 3-5 business days.

It seems too ironic. I have also dealt with this same issue with other credit card companies such as Capitol One, Providian, Beneficial, etc. IT is getting ridiculous that these high risk credit card companies are allowed to get away with this!!! What is worse, President Bush allows them more power!!!

How can consumers join together to battle these credit card companies? WE need to fight them. They are taking our money from us and we are not able to do anything about it. If anyone knows what to do to battle these BIG BOY companies, please let me know. I do not mind testifying against them.
