McleodUSA ripoff Quoted Termination Charge then claim it was only a estimate Milwaukee Wisconsin

Phone account with McleodUSA. Called prior to terminating account. Was told the termination fee was $106.00. I clearly asked if there are any other charges. "Answered No" Asked if this is the only amount I will need to pay minus the one month ahead billing. "Answered Yes" I asked how do I make sure this is the amount that I will be charged. "Answered I will make a note of this" I received my bill and I was charged $361.90. When I called to discuss the charge I was told the representive that told me the $106 amount does not have the ability to calculate the amount and it was only an estimate. The representive that quoted $106 never told me it was only a estimate. I was told when I called about the excessive charges that the document number that quoted me $106 was #18625044. Since then I have moved to a new phone company with a new contract. I have made the decision to move to a new company using the information given to me from a confident McleodUSA representative. I feel I should only pay what I was told.
