Mega Life & Health Insurance Company Non-payment for my stress test really stressed me out!!! North Richland Hills Texas
*UPDATE EX-employee responds: Great advice
*UPDATE EX-employee responds: will you make it to reunion this year
*Consumer Suggestion: understand your insurance policy
I had a stress test at my doctor's office and was later informed that Mega Life & Health would not pay for it because I was not HOSPITALIZED!!! Where can I find a doctor to ADMIT me into a HOSPITAL for a stress test? NOWHERE! ... This company has alot of loopholes and I fell into quite a few.
Since 2002, my premium has gone up $150.00 a month and my coverage is still the same.
Does anyone know about a class-action suit??? I WANT IN!!!
This company has to be STOPPED!

M K, hopefully you have E & O Coverage.
you were #727 in the country for this past turn in
don't lose your good standing, or it will all change
the brochures are quite vague, do some homework, you may be surprised.

Great advice

Great advice....especially coming from someone who's too embarrassed and scared of what they do and who they are to post their phone number and email address on their website - not even a shred of personal info either:

Now I'm no marketing genius by any means but I'm pretty sure I want my prospects and clients to see my email and phone number on my site. In fact, I'm not really sure of a website in existence that doesn't provide any type of contact information. Of course, they can request information but that still doesn't give out your info. You know, with your number on your site something stupid might happen like a prospect calling you. Now, I don't know how many will call but I know how many will call when you don't even have your number listed.
Hey! Maybe you can put up pole signs with no phone number. Or maybe you can pass out flyers to local businesses without your number or email. If they REALLY want insurance I'm sure they'll go through the effort to track you down.
I have a website - a nice one too. Got my phone number, email and info about me right on the 1st page. Then again, I'm not embarrassed to sell what I sell and I don't fear people calling or emailing me.
And I know this is a blatant waste of time, but why not recommend a policy where you don't have to ADD lab coverage? Oh...those are too expensive you say? Yeah....right. She probably would have paid less to another company and had lab coverage.
But don't listen to me. Go run to you district manager and ask for another glass of Kool Aid. And continue on with your fantastic website marketing plan. I'm sure you're doing great!

#1 Consumer Suggestion
understand your insurance policy

I am appointed with MEGA Health and Life. Most likely, the person writing in did not have the correct rider-Ambulatory Care- on their policy. It is the fault of the agent who sold the policy, not the company. Agents with MEGA are self-employed, and are trained to correctly explain what they are selling, but of course, it is not a perfect world.
