I received a check for $4700.00, It looked pretty real...but I knew it had to be a scam. The letter stated that I needed to call asap, and it had some directions pertaining to Western Union.....I cannot believe that Walmart, Kmart, Sears, aren't doing anything about this, since their company names are being used. Anyway, I was to collect the "rest" of my prize of $115,300 as soon as I made the arrangements.....Is this not mail fraud? It appears others have gotten the exact same letter, and for quite some time now!
My letter is dated 5/28/2009. Drawing was held 2/20/2009.
