The technicians who were doing the oil change on my car lost the oil fill cap and when they said they fixed it I found a contraption made of metal, rtv, and a lid on the fill hole. I even took a photo of this.

It isnt a false report. So stop there. Nor is it slandering. So please respect my right under freedom of speech to say what I feel. This is a true statement. The vehicle yes doesnt belong to me it belongs to Hertz Rental however while the vehicle is rented to me all damages or "remedies" as you put it i am liable for, so ending my rebuttal, yes the car was mine at the time of incident. If there was a procedure in place for things like this stating a specific place for the oil fill cap to be placed, or for a second technician to do an inspection under the hood of the vehicle this wouldnt have become an issue. Any Oil change place, mechanic shop, or like business has that type of procedure in place to eliminate something like this happening.

I am the Manager of the store in question and yes the cap was left off and we are very sorry about it we are only human and mistakes happen so to answer to you first of all YOU ARE NOT THE OWNER of said car my Trade account Hertz rental is and they told you that you needed to take it to their repair shop since we could not find a replacement oil cap even from the dealer so bait and switch not so we did what we could to remedy the problem so you could drive the car to their repair shop and recieve another rental car so stop giving false reports .
