Melanie Thompson ripoff ebay trader asst. stole my stuff Bakersfield California

Hello!  I would like to file a rebuttal in my defense.  This person, whose name is Shirley, I actually liked and felt sorry for. She contacted me to sell some things on ebay for her. Incidentally, I've done ebay for 12 years now and have approx. 12,000 positive feedbacks, one negative in all the time I've done ebay.   Anyhow, I drove clear across town and looked at what she had to sell.  In my mind, I am thinking it's worthless.......but felt sorry for her, looking around, and took boxloads of this worthless stuff home in hopes of selling something for her.  I like to help people....less fortunate than I am. It feels good. I help folks all the time. I secretly buy groceries for families in checkout lines who cannot afford to buy food and I do so secretly so nobody sees me do it except the cashier........stuff like that.  Ok.......anyhow.....I have 2 kids and take care of Grandpa who lives with us........so my time is worth something.    I did explain that she was to pay listing fees, selling or final value fees, paypal fees, and that I would take 30% of what was leftover in profit for all of my time and effort.  Ok.  I list this stuff.   It's worthless, as I suspected. I DID sell two items out of the 100 or so I listed. Those were the TWO things I did NOT bring back to her........because I SOLD THEM..........for a whopping total of around $50.00.  Now, because each ad was approx. anywhere from .50 to $1.00 to list...... x 100+ items.........DO THE MATH!   SHE OWED ME!   I did not ask her for money, again, as I felt sorry for her.  I did donate the 30% I was entitled to keep, to her.   I explained that as far as I was concerned, a good deal of effort was put out by me and that I was sorry it didn't do better than it did.........for her sake as well as mine.  I cannot remember the amount of the check I wrote to her was.......but it wasn't much.  I also had all of the paperwork with the check so she could see for herself what the costs were and what the two sales totaled.   I DID suggest she donate her prized possessions to a charitable organization for the tax write off.  I even offered to show her how to "EBAY" in order to save herself my commission......if she found something she felt was worth selling in the future.  I never got an email again from her again. WHAT I did get, was publicly harrassed in a store several months later, by this person.  I was openly, loudly, verbally accused of stealing from her. At which time I asked, "Shirley.....what IS the problem?  I am unaware of any problem!"   She then accused me of stealing $15.00 from her for her waxed paper thingamajiggy  and that I owed this to her. I pulled a twenty dollar bill from my wallet and gave it to her.......and asked at that time, "Do you feel we are even now?"   Geez.  No good deed ever goes unpunished.  That is the whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help me God.   I think this bashing that she has made public was a childish act on her part.  Unfortunately, something as trivial as all of this, something that has probably happened to each and every one of us......some small trivial little matter, was blown out of proportion and made public, in an effort to tarnish my reputation.   I wish Shirley well and no harm.  I do hope, you'll read this and give her accusations a second thought before you judge me.  Thank you for your time!
