We entered into a six-month marketing agreement with MeterHome, a company owned and operated under QPO Energy (qpoen.com), led by Joseph Lu. After the agreement was reviewed and signed, we began work immediately. In just the first two weeks, we invested over 70 hours of strategic, technical, and creative work—excluding numerous planning and status meetings. We also incurred costs by hiring support staff and purchasing marketing tools specifically for their project.

Midway through the first month—right when the invoice became due—Joseph Lu abruptly claimed they weren’t ready and signed “by mistake.” On a recorded call, he acknowledged the error, admitted the value of the work delivered, and agreed that covering the first month’s invoice would be fair to help us recoup some costs.

In an effort to avoid conflict and act in good faith, we agreed to terminate the contract early—waiving the remainder of the six-month term if they honored that initial invoice.

Instead of following through, Joseph said he would “forward it to his lawyer” and stopped communicating. It's now clear they have no intention of paying—despite admitting fault and receiving significant deliverables.

This is a clear breach of agreement and a demonstration of bad faith business practices.

We want to warn agencies, consultants, and other service providers: Avoid doing business with MeterHome or their parent company QPO Energy. Their internal instability—marked by high staff turnover and disregard for vendor relationships—makes them a risky and unprofessional partner.

We have extensive documentation, emails, and witnesses, and if this heads to court, we’re confident in the outcome. But before going that route, we feel it’s important to make others aware of their behavior.

Be cautious before engaging with MeterHome or QPO Energy. Protect your time, resources, and team.
