This school targets welfare and unemployment reciepients to amass tuition money through state and federal grant programs.

The teachers are not knoweldgeble to instruct courses, this school also stole my private information from admission application and used it to apply for school loan, after I informed the counselor that I have already been approved for a state grant. The teacher was always absent from class, she passed our class without giving us finals exam, but the worst occured, when the teacher required that I and other students complete an volunteer program which has falsely called internship at a local hospital. The teacher stated that this "Internship" was a requirement for a job placement by the school. After I completed this "Internship" no one would hire me, because I have not done an actual internship, and the school refused to place, but they did gave me a fake certificate when they "graduated " that is not worth the paper it's written on.

One of 3 students we couldnt place

Im really sorry you feel the way you do Gina. Metro-wide has trained and placed o over 2,000 students since 1999. Weve been cited numerous awards with various agencies, workforce development, Career placement associations, Better Business Bureau, One stop Career Associations and Cisco Systems. A majority of our graduates who have been trained and placed our making well over 100,000 oer year as very high skilled Network technicians and Network Security professionals as well as medical Assistants and medical Biller and Coders. Unfortunately, when you train hundreds and hundreds of students, there may be a very small batch in that may have wer enot up to the learning curve or perhaps had a learning disability that led them unplaced. In any event, all of our graduates, were tested for National Certification through the National HealthCare Career Association. At the minimum any graduate who takes and passes this exam has the nationally recognized credential to obtain employment. Its a bog possibility you did not pass this exam or just didnt study hard enough. Not everyone makes the cut Gina. if you did come from a state funded agency then I would guess you were collecting welfare or collecting unemployment in the first place; need i say more.

In addition, it is not standard practice to apply for student loans when a student is state funded. However, a student loan cannot be taken out in someones name unless that student has signed 6 different documents including disbursements. Hence, no student loan was taken out. Its is possible thought that you did take out a student loan and just trying get out of paying for it since your not employed. This is the first I hear of your problem. You can certainly call the office or contact me since we offer free course re-takes. Sorry for your trouble
