The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Nate Nahmias during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases towards Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau

Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau are claims adjusters that work specifically with insured parties. Nate Nahmias stated the following about his company, "we examine claim elements to make sure the client receives the maximum value for all losses from the insurance company. Most claims are resolved in 3-4 months, while more complex claims are resolved in approximately one year."

Leads for Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau are obtain through designated employees visiting individuals who have had fires or floods. Insurance companies won't allow them to advertise, "we have to visit them and give them advice about their claim to show them that we know what we are talking about and how we will proceed with the claim to their betterment." A potential customer can expect Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau to take an inventory of all personal property and present estimates to the insurance company on the client's behalf. This allows for potential clients to truly understand the details of their claim, "once we have a scope of damage, we finalize and estimate using a procedure recognized by the insurance company. We discuss the claim with the adjuster to agree on recovery and amount of losses to be paid to the insured party."


During the onsite interview Mr. Nahmias was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Nahmias describe a situation where a client stated he was going to be out of the country for two months, but was actually gone for seven months. During this time Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau was able to get him, "twice as much as the insurance company had offered him for both of his personal property losses and his building losses." However during his time abroad the client did not respond to any written or verbal communication. Upon his arrival the client had questions about business losses, "we explained that we could not address that because he had taken his business equipment with him. He was supposed to have submitted his photographic equipment to Canon so they could evaluate the extent of his losses and provide an inspection assessment to the insurance company. Since he did not do this and made himself unavailable, there was no way this could be done." This is an uncommon complaint for Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau. Whenever a complaint does arise, "we generally do whatever it takes to resolve complaints, when are immediately escalated to me whenever someone has an issue with one of our adjusters."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Nahmias stated that the complaint posted online was directly in correlation with the previously discussed issue, "it also appears that he has posted the same complaint on Ripoff Report at least two or three times using different names and locations. The other complaint I know about is from a disgruntled former employee I had from a business unrelated to this one." In order to assure future and current clientele Mr. Nahmias stated, "we are licensed in several states and we carry a performance bond of at least $20,000 in these states. In over 44 years of business, no one has ever gone after our bond."

In order to confirm that the complaints were resolved, Ripoff Report is copied on all responses so we can insure that the member business did right by their customer. The author of the Ripoff Report below never responded to our offer to help them.


Steve Happel began an attack on Metropolitan starting with filing a complaint with the Department of Insurance. They reviewed his statements against MAB and interviewd the insurance company adjuster and decided that there was no foundation to his complaint. Metropolitan did the right thing in processing his claim and obtaining substantially more funds for him after MAB entered the claim on his behalf. They also based their answers on the fact that he left the country for 7 months which caused him many of the problems he was complaining of. He then proceeded to the Better Business Bureau and after reviewing the facts they determined that MAB had not done anything to Mr. Happel which may have negatively affected his insurance claim. Subsequent reports from Mr. Happel after being turned down by the Department of Insurance and the Better Business Bureau, were simply his last attempt to injure our reputation by maliciously setting forth false information on Rip Off Report as well as Yelp.



Congratulations You’re wise to check out these guys Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau! Take 10 minutes to research before you loose everything… Sadly we are embarrassed and simply devastated from trusting Nate Nahmias, Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau, Pete Kulzer with our business and home disaster. 

If you’re reading this warning carefully consider the following words. With great sadness we feel it’s our human obligation to share for the entire world to consider in the hope you’ll spare yourself from more grief ahead. You’ve no idea what you’re getting into if you choose to be tangled up with Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau.

We had no-idea this kind of insurance fraudulent niche even existed. We simply believed the MAB song and dance marketing. Sadly we signed two MAB contract(s) with the assumption MAB would be “adjusting” our home-based business loss and home water/mold loss last 2014 with StateFarm. To date, July 2015, 14 months later! MAB’s not sent us one financial document, estimate of needed repairs, ZERO documents only lame excuses, bogus emails etc. Ok right metropolitan adjustment bureau lied, so what?? you might be thinking? Can’t you simply just fire them and get your big pants on? 

Ahhhhh that’s it!…most importantly… they’ve refused to release our Insurance back to us… that’s their entire $$$$$$$ con.

How’s that possible or legal? After all they come from within the insurance companies themselves right? No so fast, follow the money; it’s your money. Its going to be your money not your insurance money they extort from you. How’s their scam and income derived from you and others you might wonder? After researching the Internet all other families have similar yet slightly different story. However one thing rings true throughout all the families they’ve destroyed… They’ve scammed all with a huge big smile on their face at the beginning of there con and then…



IF you sign a contract with MAB you’ve simply separated your family from your own insurance (MAB does NOTHING no actual adjusting what-so-ever)

You’ve just signed with an extremely unethical, amazingly dishonest organization… They simply wait… Such a brilliant business model really. So easy to do nothing right? MAB then bully’s you and extorts you to accept the original Insurance estimate! Brilliant!!  As you’re aware since you’re reading this your smart one. Your insurance wont be looking out for you.. Nope the insurance estimate will be a small fraction of the real money needed to perform actual repairs on your home or business all the while MAB will simply refuse to adjust and refuse to relinquish their financial interest in your ins claim, the real releases needed to get your own insurance back…

Why would you need your own insurance back? They will do absolutely nothing to get you and your family out off the streets. So sad and yet deceptively clever they leverage every single aspect of your entire personal disaster to their financial advantage. You will be doing everything we didn’t know we were being used at the time. We did everything I mean we did it all, Pete used us to do everything that was asked Pete did nothing at all.

Why do I mention the word “real release”? After we realized we were being completely scammed we finally fired them for doing nothing but getting our signature separating us from StateFarm. MAB then provided these fake releases to StateFarm! I cannot make this up. They “released me” to work with my own insurance again… however they demand to be named on all payments? What deceptive double talk. Again just another clever double talk to appear to California dept. INS on what we requested We have demanded the real financial release 4 times via certified mail. Nothing but ignored in every effort for actual response or real release from MAB.

So how do they get so much control and power? Simple they get your signature! MAB will invest an hour or two into your insurance claim then wait… it’s the “long con” they’ve got your signed contract sitting in your file and sadly they’ve moved on… their now busy with new suckers… so called “busy working” on other future families to destroy when they finally discover the truth.

Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau, MAB, Nate Nahmias, Pete Kulzer, As a matter of record MAB has refused to even submit our business loss claim to Statefarm. MAB will be stalling your entire life and family as they drag their scam out for the long game its the “long con” just as they’ve planned all along holding your all mighty signature refusing to financially release their interest. Its way beyond bullying or extortion, no it’s unthinkable, it’s the perfect scam. MAB has polished their marketing and behind the scenes scheming over the decades. We’ve never thought of such a scam.. What sad times we live in today indeed.

It’s a matter of documented history… MAB’s behavior has proven they’ve carefully planned nothing more but to separate us from our insurance StateFarm. We had no idea MAB’s “working on our claim” was simply to Copy/Paste StateFarm original estimate then sit and indefinitely wait… MAB has done just that… nothing.. No it’s a total con, an obvious lucrative career of CA licensed professional extortion. MAB has worked entirely against us from day one. How is it they are holding a valid license in CA you might wonder? In our specific con MAB has cleverly planted little 5 second emails, little deceptive trails to appear to the CA insurance licensing powers their doing work.  What work?? Absolutely bogus nonsense emails containing nothing more than “hi where are you”? What the heck? However the truth, evidence and records will be available for the whole world to see! MAB has refused to produce one real document, estimate or any thing other than copy/paste the original insurance estimate! Their entire scheme is simply bully and extort you the insured separating you from your own insurance forcing you to accept the extremely low bogus insurance estimate from the beginning. Obviously there’s a huge financial incentive for StateFarm to “work closely” with these guys after all half of them used to work for StateFarm. Their phone numbers are already preprogrammed and they all are well acquainted with each other by name.

MAB’s Nate Nahmias certainly not shy… no they’re all extremely confident and bold about what they do, their entire business model is premeditated fraud and lies. MAB gets YOU to do anything that requires anything more than 5 minutes then simply sits your file to the “wait stage” at your families expense withholding your real releases needed from StateFarm. We learned we must have an actual real release to able to get our own insurance back. Honestly Its insane to attempt  to wrap our heads around the bold CA licensed ongoing scam of theirs.

Nate Nahmias has some ever changing, interesting and extensive yet very deceptive in stories. Mr. Nahmias is proven to be quite the story teller he claims to have doubled our home damage loss on his facebook? Wow super Amazing!! Wait what?? Where are the invisible voodoo calculations from? Where are these mystery estimates and where are the fairy contractors who will accept MAB’s pixy dust? Sadly this is his mathematic nonsense and sadly most of the families he already destroyed and bullies learns the hard way and cowers making him richer and richer one family at a time. He will boldly say whatever without any regard for truth, ethics or certainly not in your families interest. As The MAB web site faced deceptively portrays, they are not on your side, they will not be working for you!

We are embarrassed and simply devastated from trusting Nate Nahmias, Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau, Pete Kulzer with our business and home disaster.

We simply share our devastating story about our family in 100% truth. It’s the good Samaritan helpful thing to do.. Do unto others… Our advice.. Take some time off work and roll up your sleeves… You’ve a lot of work ahead of you. If you disregard this stern warning… Well this will be you writing a slightly similar letter in a year from now… Honestly you’ll be writing more certified letters, emails, letters, days on the phone etc. Your work ahead will be 1000 times greater if you chose to separate yourself from the regulated insurance companies. We simply suggest you to diligently research these people at Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau. These words are real, we are real people.

Our family and home business have been so negatively impacted by the brutish bulling from Nate Nahmias and Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau. We cannot begin to express the extent of our loss in a letter.  As I write this I look out unto concrete floors looking at our what used to be the model home in our neighborhood. We’ve no walls, no home office, no bedroom, and can see into the attic as there is no ceiling either. Now we are simply devastated as it’s been 14 months. We’ve run out our family savings down to nothing.

This massive scandal clearly has all the right ingredients of a great “based on true story” documentary.
