So I bought a new XBox & Kinect bundle.  And within 3 days the kinect was no longer working.  I looked through xbox support online & non of the suggestions worked so I called XBox support.
They confirmed that it was broken and since I was under warranty they would send me a new one and I would return the broken one in the same box. They took my debit card number and was told that they would not charge it unless I failed to return the broken kinect within 15 days.  Sounds fair.

The same day I decided that it would be easier for me to exchange at the store, because I was still within the 30 days return policy.  So I called them back and told them to cancel the repair, I'd exchange it at the store.

I thought that would be it.  But low & behold a few days later I log into my bank account & they'd charged my card $200 freaking bucks!  First of all they never sent me anything that I could return and it certainly hadn't been 15 days even if they had.  Even if this was a case of me not returning the kinect to them in the box, it's retail price is $150, not $200.   And if phone calls cost $200, they probably should state that on the website.

So I called them and asked why the hell they charged my account $200?  The first lady said they had no record of the charge linked to my account, that someone else must of stolen the money.   Hmmmm let me think about this....  You're trying to tell me that a thief happened to have my debit card number, happened to know I'd called that day for repair help, and set the card charge description to "Withdrawal Credit/Debit Card MICROSOFT REPAIR SVC 800-469-9269 WA Card 15 ****
MICROSOFT REPAIR SVC 800-469-9269 WA Date."  No, I'm pretty sure the guys at Microsoft stole my money. So I called again and the next guy said he didn't have access to check if they charged me $200 and that one of their expediated service reps would call me back later.  Which of course didn't call, so I called again and they said they'd call tomorrow.  The rep finally did call, just to say he didn't have access to refund, but the refund department will call back & return the money in a week or two.  Yeah will so far, I have not been reunited with my money and I hope my landlord will be understanding that the check will be late because Microsoft literally stole $200 without excuse, real apology, or most importantly a refund.

Silly me for thinking a brand new Xbox kinect bundle would only cost $400 and would work. As apparently they are broken out of the box & they cost $600.
