Midland Credit Management Inc(compu Credit) settlement opportunity original creditor fingerhut San Diego California

I have tried to call this company over and over,sometimes being on the phone for over 1/2 hour,without being able to talk to a person.They are claiming,I owe $324.79 to Fingerhut,which is totally untrue.I have not had anything to do with Fingerhut for over 18 years and always paid what I owed.After unsuccessfully trying to call the above company,I called Fingerhut,they couldn't find an account under my name(of course not!) and they told me very rudely,I needed to fax my info to a company called compu credit.I told them,I would not spend any money on a fax for something I don't have anything to do with and asked for a phone number.I was told,the company does not have a phone number,only a fax number and an address.This is totally outrageous,since this shows up in my credit report.
