Company email answered part search (trans for 92 F350 Ford 15 Pax van)with "we have your transmission, $745 56,000 miles."
Called and discussed special heavy duty size of my current trans and Al said get the number off the name plate. If it was an F2UPCA they had the trans. Called back to confirm it indeed was that number and another man took the call and said he could take the order. I explained that it had to be the F2UPCA and he said it is.
one week later a trans arrived and it was not what I ordered, and was wrong part number and 6inches shorter than I needed.
emailed them about the problem and they responded "$2145.00-71,000 miles" I don't know what will come of this but it smacks of dishonest as a minimum. I'll keep you posted.

They have redeemed themselves

After we finally established the exact transmission I needed, which involved taking pictures of my old box and ID tags, etc. and emailing them, the company found an identical match, and delivered it promptly to me. Due to my travel schedule I did not get it installed for several weeks, but after installing and testing it for a month, I am completely satisfied with the replacement transmission.
Thank you for persevering with me and walking me thru the description of the various options available. I learned a lot about Ford transmissions that I never knew.

wrong trans?

If Midwest really knew what they were doing, the tag # off of the trans would have suffient to deliver the correct transmission....So don't let them tell you that the wrong one was ordered...The only confusion is on midwest...Oh and by the way, i called your so called "yard" and was told there is no reason to come to the 2100 e.college address as there were no parts there...I was told they were in a wharehouse at some other location....Hummmmm......And the "big complexe" you are supposedly in would have at least building numbers or letters....Also if you are in a, as you say a "big complexe", why are the parts not there?!...Maybe because there is'nt any parts??....hummmm???!!!!

I admit there was confusion on the original order, we worked hard together to get it corrected and another trans was delivered. Still the wrong one. Now all details of VIN, photos of ID plate and size of my original trans plus both of the ones shipped have been given to the company. I am hopeful this will resolve the issue. Still waiting to see if this gets resolved soon. I need the Van on the road.
