Montgomery Mortgage Solutions puts pressure on you to use Montgomery Title which lo and behold is in the same building & owned by the wife of the owner of the mortgage company! They give you every reason to use them, your loan may not close on time, it's easier, faster, etc. I found out it is illegal to own a mortgage company & title company in NJ, but because it's his wife they skirt the law. Next they give you a rate that isn't available, let it expire & try to get you to pay points to extend. Do not do business with them. They are unethical!

Please let us know how you were forced to use a Title Agency. My wife does not own a Title Insurance Agency. Get your facts straight. We are not "skirting" any laws. Everything is fully disclosed. Further, we have never charged a single customer a rate lock extension. Why don't you come forward and say who you are? See my earlier post, the offer still stands. You can also reach me at 732-648-1754. Anytime. If you have issues, please come forward and go to the NJ Department of Banking immediately. ANSWER THE QUESTION, Why don't you come forward? I know who you are.

You still haven't replied to steering clients to Montgomery Title, in the same building, run by your wife! Although not illegal, it skirts the law and the intent of the law. As far as overcharging for a rate lock extension, that is what is going on now, and that's why their is a complaint but if you wish to go further we can. The govt. has changed the Good Faith Estimates to protect borrowers. It is not supposed to vary by more than 10% and the banking department has a warning to consumers that states that bait & switch companies are not using this form so they don't have to comply with the law. You sent an estimate as to what it would cost to close the loan but never sent a binding Good Faith Estimate. Why? You are not following the new law and the only reason you wouldn't is if you intended to change the numbers to make more at closing otherwise you are out of compliance. I have checked with NJDOBI and you are out of compliance. Why? The bank you sent the loan to also said that to extend the loan to 45 days would only cost an additional 1/8, you're charging 3/4. Why?

As of today 12/9/2010, during the past 8 years, we have never had a customer that has paid for an extended rate lock. If you have paid or you know someone that has paid to extend their rate, let us know who they are or who you are. I guarantee to return twice the amount to the person. Further, I will be happy to donate $1,000 to your favorite charity.
Fact is, all of your allegations are false and your statements are fabricated.
You should be big enough to retract your statement. Again, its bad karma. I know who you are:)

So the owner's wife does not own the title company at the same address & in the same building as the mortgage company that you steer people to use & you do not tell people that when their rate lock expires it will cost an additional 3/4 to extend when if the consumer calls the bank you placed the loan with they find out it only cost an 1/8 to extend but that's how you make additional money? Where does the additional 5/8 go? In your pocket that's where.

The problem I have with forums such as this is the anonymity. If someone has been harmed, they should be big enough to tell us how they were harmed and we would be more then happy to fix it. In this case, there is no point of reference. We provide world class service. Please feel free to visit our website at www.montmtg.com You will find many recent testimonials of local customers including video. We have been in business for nearly 10 years and have never had a single complaint. Whoever this is (I know who you are), please be big enough to remove this. After all, it is bad karma! There is no bait and switch and steering going on at MMS. We are on many sites on the internet and have never had any problems.
