Blaming the wrong person?

AUTHOR: Jules - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, November 30, 2012

Good to see so many Musicstack sellers jumping to the site's defense

As already stated site owner Dave Stack does not deal directly with the public, sellers do and the sellers are the people who process card information.

Stop for a moment and consider that a buyer on Musicstack would not have direct contact with the site owner. That is why I became suspicious when I saw Dave Stack and the address in the title of this 'complaint' (To optimise for search engines) and his full address published (Only available by running a whois on the domain name)

I very much doubt this report is true, more likely a competitor or someone with a gripe against the site owner who has chosen to try and defame the site owner. In doing so they try to harm my reputation all the 1500 other sellers on the site.

Alas Defamation online is very easy and many of the claims you read are bogus. If this individual can come back and provide more details it would help identify any rouge seller that might exist, if (As I suspect) they never return to argue their case, you can be pretty sure it is a pack of lies

Re MusicStack

AUTHOR: AndyPinkMoon - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Friday, November 30, 2012

This report is an absolute nonsense.

MusicStack is a platform for many record sellers worldwide and is run admirably by Dave Stack.

MusicStack do not even process credit cards. All the individual sellers on the site process the payments themselves.

Musicstack is Legit!

AUTHOR: Tony L. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

Musicstack is a conglomeration of individual record dealers and as such does not directly deal with credit cards, the individual seller or dealers handle that end of the business.

Musicstack merely takes a commission on dealer sales.

Apparently this gentleman has a problem with a dealer who lists his or her item for sale on Musicstack which is unfortunate-but it in no way reflects on the integrity of Mr. Stack and/or Musicstack.

The gentleman need to be more specific in his detail and point out the dealer that he claims to have been ripped of by

Music Stack is extremely honest and ethical

AUTHOR: mightyvinyl.com - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

I've been a dealer on MusicStack.com since September 2002 with literally thousands of successful transactions, and I will attest to the fact that this complaint is not valid - Music Stack itself does not ever see any credit card information. If an individual dealer on the site were to have any such complaints the owner (Dave Stack) would have taken action to investigate long ago.

The fact that this complaint comes with no substantive data - sales order number, dealer name, date, amount of purchase, etc - seems to be additional proof that this is not a complaint, but is instead an attempt to soil the name of Music Stack for some reason. If this claimant has a valid complaint you would think he'd provide some of that data, which of course is totally absent.

It's odd that this report has appeared within a few weeks of a Ripoff Report being filed against a competing collectible music site (a competitor to MusicStack.com). The major difference between the two complaints is that the report filed against MusicStack's competitor was based upon actual verifiable information from a dealer who claims he is not being paid for sales he completed through the competitor to MusicStack.com. The timing of this (in my opinion) obviously false claim about MusicStack is an odd coincidence at the very least.

MusicStack:A Safe And Reliable Place to Sell and Shop

AUTHOR: vinylsol - (Australia)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

I have been a seller and a buyer on MusicStack for many years and it is clear that this allegation is either an attack with ulterior motives or a misguided attack on MusicStack because of a poor experience with one of the thousands of dealers who trade there.

MusicStack does not process any payments - these are done by individual dealers and MusicStack has powerful and stringent guidelines and systems to weed out any potentially dishonest dealers.  Data stored on MusicStack is safe and there are literally millions of transactions involving hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers.

If the original poster has a problem with anything purchased on MusicStack they should take up the issue with the seller, not with MusicStack itself, and if it cannot be resolved they have the capacity on MusicStack to leave appropriate feedback.

The original poster needs to respond to the messages of support for MusicStack and to either withdraw or clarify his/her allegations.

Pointing the finger at the wrong person

AUTHOR: Izzy Berrios - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

Musicstack is comprised of hundreds of individual sellers worldwide. These sellers are responsible for any and all transactions done within their personal inventories which are hosted within the Musicstack website. Some sellers utilize various credit/debit card systems to complete transactions. Some use Paypal. In either case, these transactions are between the buyer and seller. And Musicstack [David Stack] has no way of knowing how these purchases were paid for, nor is he prevy to any personal credit/debit card numbers. This disgrunted buyer should've addressed his complaint towards the buyer he's had this negative experience with. And not pull the entire creditability/integrity of Musicstack [as a whole] on the carpet.

'Nuff said, Izzy

Musicstack never sees credit cards, you must be mistaken with another service that does

AUTHOR: KBR - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

I have been a seller on Musicstack for 9 years.  Musicstack never sees any credit information or handles any money for a sale.  Muiscstack just puts the buyer and seller in contact with one another and then charges the seller a small fee for enabling the sale.  There are other sites that do take your credit card numbers and do charge your card for record sales, but Dave Stack & Musicstack have never ever done that.  This report is totally false.

You must be mistaken with other sites that take your card or you had a bad experience with a seller and are lashing out at the whole company instead of filing your complaint with the person responsible.

Comments From A Disgruntled Competitor?

AUTHOR: Luis Porretta Fine Arts - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

I have been a seller on Music Stack for many years and the hysterical comments left by this person are obviously tinged with an agenda. Perhaps a disgruntled competitor? Music Stack does not even process credit card payments but allows its sellers to process their own payments, so is hardly in a position to 'rip' off a consumer. I have never once received spam from this site. in all my years of dealing with Music Stack I have found Mr. Stack to be a man of unimpeachable integrity. It will take a lot more than an a person with an obviously malovelent agenda to damage Mr. Stacks credibility.
