In March, 2010 I contacted Muth and Sons Plumbers to install a new dishwasher I purchased from Lowe's, and Muth and Sons sent out the son "Patch". After the installation, the dishwasher door was very hard to close, and making noise that sounded like it was broken.
Patch told me that the dishwasher was defective, and believing he was a professional I signed the work order as having been satisfactory completed. I then called Lowe's about a replacement under the warranty. Lowe's agreed, but sent out a technician to check the unit as part of their service.
When Lowe's came out and checked the unit, they discovered that "Patch" had routed a water line wrong, and that resulted in a repair bill of $107.80 for parts and labor to repair the damage caused by "Patch" of Muth and Sons. I also discovered that I could have had the work done correctly the first time for 1/3 less money through Lowe's.
I sent Muth the payment for what I owed him, minus the $107.80 and tried to work with the owner, Pat Muth to adjust my bill, however his attitude was "you signed the work order that says it was done satisfactory" and If you don't pay the full amount, we'll take out a mechanic's lien on your home.
Pat Muth does not stand behind the work his company does, and if you do business with them, don't sign the work order. If there are any future problems, they will have you over a barrel. Avoid this company at all costs.

This complaint is a complete fraud. Anyone that wants to take the time to call Lowe's and ask for Manager Mike Sullivan will be told that when Mike called the other service guy from Integrity Plumbing in Defuniak Springs----he was told that the other serviceman said nothing of the sort. Mr. Sullivan can be reached at 850 913-1600.
Also, I would like to add that in the 53 years of our plumbing service in Bay County, I have never had a response such as Mr. Smith's. This included two calls to my wife at our personal residence, in which he physically threatened us, and so many foul words that my wife simply could not communicate with him and she hung up. After that, he called me and physically threatened me as well, using so many foul words that I had to hang up as well. We don't talk to potty mouth customers acting like a 5 year old.
Mr. Smith states in his own report that, the dishwasher was replaced. This is proof that there was nothing wrong with our work, but only the dishwasher, as my son pointed out to Mr. Smith on the job. And finally, I am really surprized that, after we gave Mr. Smith special terms in which to pay his bill, that he would stoop to such loser tactics in an attempt to reduce his bill. One more point, this absurd behavior by Mr. Smith only came up after he was 60 days delinquent and my company sent him notice of intent to file a lien. Completely fabricated story by an obvious "nutcase".
