Mutual Financial Securities Inc. / Bob Morris, Mary Long Received 'Winning Final Notification' stating I won $250,000. Midland, Ontario Canada
*Consumer Comment: I have a duplicate letter
Received a 'Winning Final Notification' in the mail, stating that I won $250,000 with Ticket Serial #387450146, Winning No. #38-44-66-79-91, along with an enclosed check for $4,890.00. I was advised not to cash the check until I had called Bob Morris at 1-416-826-2774 within 5 days of receipt of the letter. The stated in the letter that they wanted me to send them the "taxes" on my "win", in the amount of $2,985.00, by Moneygram or Western Union. The letter was signed by "Mary Long (Promotion Manager)". I didn't even attempt to call the number - did a Google search and came here to report the scam.

I have a duplicate letter

I have an exact duplicat of your letter, same numbers for serial and ticket even.
One other thing to note is that the envelope this letter and check were sent in had an ordinary computer label for the send to address, had no return address, and had Canadian postage. I would think a prize check would be sent via certified mail...
Just for giggles since our letters are the same I am betting the checks are probably identical as well.
