Hi my name is Lacey. Recently I feel that I was schemed by a well know diet company. The companys name is MyDietpatches. You can find them on the web at Mydietpatches.com. The company claims they will send you a free 1 week trial of their product for only 2.95. Now what is not in black and white is that if you do not cancel the free trial within 14 days they will charge you for a 90 day supply of the product which in my case amounted to 159.95 plus 10.00 shipping for a total of 169.95. The website is very misleading and they do not confirm with you that they are going to charge you for the 90 day supply so therefore this is an unauthorized transaction.

You authorize them for the 2.95 for the free trial but nothing else. So as soon as they have you credit card information they also charge the 90 supply charge without your knowledge. The reason for doing this is listed in the welcome packet. It simply states for your convience you will automatically be recieving your full 90 day program within ten business days. The reason this is done automatically is because once the product starts working for you the last thing you want to do is stop the process. They have a 120 day moneyback gurantee but according to other people who have made complaints against them they have never recieved there money back.

I also today called them at 1 800 901 1182 and spoke with a Customer service representative advising I wanted my account cancelled and money refunded. She stated she would do this and I should see a refund within 5-15 buisness days. The only reason this worries me is because of other reports listed on this website stating they did the same thing but never recieved anything back. Now some people can handle losing a 170.00 but I cannot. I live check by check and they money they took from me was there for my bills and my groceries. So now I am in a lot of trouble because of their scam.

Thanks for your help!!!

Got my Money back from my bank..

AUTHOR: Lacey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 07, 2005

I got my money back from this scam but It was not given back to me by Mydietpatches.com. My bank put the money they took from me (less the 10.00 shipping and handling they cant credit that) back into my bank account for a total of 159.95 credit. I still lost 10.00 but that is much better than losing almost 170.00.

My bank determined that this company is fraudulant and is pulling scams on all its potential customers who buy into the free one week trial. I have also learned today that I am now involved in the pending lawsuit the Illinois Attorney General has filed against this company.

She contacted me today after I filed a complaint with them regarding my situation with Mydietpatches.com. She said I am definitely not the first this has happened too which I can believe because of all the reports on here.

My statments are to be entered into the lawsuit so the company has further evidence against them and will be made to pay back its victims including the banks who have given its customers there money back.

So please if you are still struggling with a refund follow my steps for how to get your money back. Also coming out this is that my Local news channel 2 will be doing an investigative story on thid company.

So tell everyone you know and even some people you dont know that well that this company has a pending lawsuit against them concerning bad buisness practices and that the product is a health risk for you and you may not ever get a refund unless you take extreme action on your own.

Thanks for everyones help with this.

How to get your Money Back

AUTHOR: Lacey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 05, 2005

Ok guys here it goes, my friend whom is Lawyer out here in Denver advised me to do the following to get my money back from this fraudulant Company:

1. Immediately as soon as the charge is shown up on your bank account statement or you realize what has happended call your bank and tell them you want to file a dispute for a fraudulant or unauthorized transaction on your account. They will either send you the forms by mail or email. As soon as you recieve the forms fill them out and return them asap. This will make the money go back into your account a lot faster.

2. Of course we all know this and this is why we are reading this but for those of you who have not yet done it and have been scammed by this company file a rip off report. It does help and the more reports made the more the company will be looked into.

3.Call Mydietpatches at number listed in my complaint and advise them that you did not ask for this transaction to take place on your account. Demand a refund. This customer service people will most likely give your their standard answer of "ok I have cancelled your membership and you should see a refund within in 5-15 business days." Even if you know this is not the truth write down who you spoke to and exactly what they said on the date you called so you can give this information to your bank.

4. Submit your problem to a class action suit lawfirm. You can find free sites to do this on as I have done already with free internet search engines. I am not allowed to give the search name or internet address of the company I used due to rules on ripoffreport but if you have the internet you can find one with almost any internet search engine when looking for class action lawsuits.

5.Next you can file a report with your local media concerning a fraudulant company. This will give the company unwanted reconignition for being a less than bad company and will advise consumers not to buy from them. I have contacted a family friend who works in Denver who surprise surprise his whole line of work is investigating and exposing companies that scam people out of money. I am sure there is someone in each and everyone of your areas that has a media department that can help you with this, even the local news team can help there doesnt have to be a special department.

6. Lastly you can file a consumer complaint report with the Illinois attorney general. Again I cannot give you the internet address to reach that department but you can find it with an internet search engine. On the attorney general website you can print out a consumer complaint form. I have already printed out a complaint form and sent it to them with evidence of the mydietpatches scam. All the evidence you need can be found on this webisite or with the information from the free trial information mydietpatches sent you. The 120 day moneyback gurantee lists why you are charges for a 90 day supply without your consent and it is a very bogus and illegal way of doing it. So fill out the complaint form immediately and send it with all information you have. Make sure to photocopy the information so you still have the orginal copies for your evidence.

I know this seems like a lot of hard work people but to beat companies like this, this is what it takes. Always refer people to this site so they can be aware of the dangers of ordering from the company as a risk not only financially but for your health as well. If we all do this the company will back down and give us our refunds because this is not the type of attention they want drawn to their company especially through media and lawfirm outlets.

Thanks for all your help and I hope that everyone gets there money back.
