Sad to say, my pool is 20 years old and looks better.

You HAVE GOT TO PURSUE THIS!

Seems like you have given them the very vital "first chance to fix". I am an insurance type remedy fixing person myself. Make a claim against their insurance. It may be hard for them to cough that information up if you don't already have a copy. (You should always get that upfront before they start.) Local newspaper, television station would also be a good place to go. Lawyers make things so difficult sometimes. Be squeaky and make some noise.

Seeing is believing! From your original posts I thought that maybe you were being a little bit nit-picky. Now, seeing the photos, I am blown away. That pool is a giant POS! I hope you have a lawyer. I'd be suing to have it removed, so you could get your money back and deal with a 'real' pool company.

In response to the comment on stain:

When stain was originally discussed, the comment that I made was that I did not think a regular stain would effectively mask the discoloration. Nate advised me that this was a special type of stain that would hide the discoloration.



Here is a bit of an email from Nate, notice the date of March 18th. Clearly I voiced complaints prior to getting a final bill. Come on Nate...

In summary, we are definately not paying any additional money until the pool is finished. The current state of affairs with this pool is that we are working with another company at the advice of our attorney to have repairs made and the job completed. If the cost of these repairs exceed the actual balance, (which is expected), we will send Nate a bill so that he can cover the difference.



The diving board base was removed for winter storage.



Beyond this... I think the photos showing his work that I am happy to post here will speak for themselves.

This is in response to Jamie from Alexandria, Ky. We have tried many times to resolve his complaints. We were to stain the concrete because we had to do to pours which resulted in two shades of gray. I was notified by Jamie that stain would not work because of its semi-transparent nature. We agreed upon a coating that would make the concrete all one color. We even did an existing patio for free(aprox 18x12). I asked Jamie if everything looked ok and he said yes. Jamie had no complaints about the look of the concrete so we went ahead and painted it at his request.



Yes there is one area about 1 inch by 2 inches that has broken off and we are willing to fix that if we get paid for a heater he has received but yet to pay for. We are not requiring the remaining balance of the pool until that fix is completed.



We never agreed to resurface the concrete I said I would have somebody look at it and I did. We offered them money off since we already did the painting for free and they refused it.



We agrred to correted the problems with the ladder and diving board and we did. They were knocked out of place during the bull floating of the concrete. His ladder mount points are covered by cover plates and his diving board was fine after we fixed it. I am not sure why he was removing it but we had no problem removing and reinstalling it.



We did not hear any complaints untill the final bill was sent. We had not noticed the ladder being crooked since it took the weight of some one to climb on it before it slipped down the anchors making it crooked. Uther wise it would have been taking care of at that time.



His wife has went as far as saying the swimming pool is not usable and they would be sueing us for the whole amount of the pool. I asked why it was not usable and she could not give a reason, and when asked if they used it this past summer she said yes.
