Check for yourself for free. Use your preferred search engine, type in Unclaimed Property Florida, and it will give you the Florida site (fltreasurehunt.org/index.jsp) for any unclaimed money being held by the state of Florida. They will ask for your name and other other identifying information, ,and tell you if they are holding any money in your name. The site will also tell you how to claim your money. There is no charge to check the site or claim any money.
