We are being charged $13,650.00 for a trailer we don't even live in. I became disabled and was unable to complete my lease agreement with Arbor Village in Douglasville GA. Then my trailer was robbed and I lost some very expensive items such as my new computer and camcorder. I chose to move and Arbor Village told me that I had to leave my furniture behind or they would have me arrested. Then they rented out the trailer the very next month after I moved out. This all took place back in June of 2005 and it is now Dec. 2009. They are still reporting to my credit that I have made no payments! I am being ripped off!!!!

First and formost the description that this victim is telling is classic abor village tactics. I was two weeks behind. and they found out that i had a student loan check coming now all of a sudden they increased the number of weeks that i was behind. my question is would a company that gives one-day evictions let a person get 1600.00 behind especially since rent is paid weekly or bi-weekly. I have yet to see it happen. the lady in the office remarked a how clean we left the unit especially for a oneday eviction. tell me why we have property damage charges when we called her down there to verify that there was no property damage. and I have seen arbor village do this myself..that is lock up peoples personal property charge people for property damage as a result of property being left and then sell the property. are you saying that yall have never done this your past customers disagree.
in other words you are lying through you teeth to justify your greed a methods that you use to victimise the poor
how do you justify having a person paying monthly for a trailer that they dont live in. explaine to me how you lose money when a person you put out in a one day eviction is forced to pay you monthly while someone else who has moved into the trailer is also paying you. the clause in the rental agreement is unjustified ans preditory. I find it funny how you dont explain this contract to new renters they have to learn about it through neighbors
who just happen to know someone who had a past experience. the fact of the matter is you are trying to charge people thousands of dollars for breaking a lease. that doesnt seem exessive to you?. N0t to the greedy Im sure.
Does it seem right to exaggerate the number of weeks that a person is behind to get more money out of them. obviously to you it is ok. Yall ARE A SCAM. I will not stop till you do not have a single customer

Perhaps a little truth will go a long way. I believe your narration does leave out the fact that you abandoned the home under a 1 year rental agreement. You were not "told" to leave anything behind as this costs a lot of money for any landlord to remove. If anything, you were told to provide a proper notice to shorten your rental agreement, and clean & steam the home and repair any damages as provided under the written contract. After you "left" the home and rental agreement without any notice, without turning in the keys, without doing a walk through, and without letting anyone know you had even moved, you left 2 trailer loads of personal belongings behind, over $2000 in damages, and $1600 in rent owed. Since you have made almost no effort to pay your balance since moving out, a significant amount of interest has accrued.
Since moving out, you have made 2 separate written agreements to pay your balance in small payments, and have not honored either payment plan. Once in 2009, and another in 2012. Both after collections efforts at great expense.
Yes, A legal judgment is a very serious dent to your credit report. As it should be. And equally serious is not taking reponsbility for abandoning a home, and causing major physical damage to that home.
While it may seem like the landlord should "forget" about it, i highly doubt you would forget about it if your employer asked you to forget that you worked for him for 3 months and did not get paid. Most people do not forget when someone has caused them harm and then do not attempt to make it right.
By causing damages, not paying rent, leaving trash and furniture, and then continuing to cause financial harm by not honoring repeated payment agreements, you are not making it right.
Judgments accrue interest. And they can be renewed indefinitely. No matter how much time passes, we do forget the harm that has been caused. You are strongly urged to make right the wrongs that have been done. Even without a legal judgment, it is the right thing to do.
