I was very surprised and disturbed to read the extremely false claims that you alleged on RipOff.com and have felt it necessary to address the many discrepancies in your statements. However, before addressing those false claims, the most important issue to point out is that we document every response to every one of our ads and we have no record for you ever responding. Because all of my email correspondence was sent from my business email and you referenced my personal email I could only tie that to one person who I mistakenly sent a response to from my personal email address. It would only seem that person could be you, and your name is not Connie Lopez. If you continue your slanderous remarks against me, I will be forced to expose your true identity and file suit against you.

For the record, I have never tried to get anyone's personal information for the purpose of committing any criminal activity. The link you provided for the Yuba City Police Departments Most Wanted list is not me at all. I have never even heard of Yuba City nor have I ever had more than a speeding ticket in my life. In fact, my middle name is not even Ann. I am simply a college student from the Western Suburbs of Chicago, IL that came across a work-from-home opportunity in which I am helping to rebuild National Property Consultants, Inc. (NPC). NPC is an event-based marketing and merchandising company, formed in 2001, that has worked at over 200 events in the last 3 years and employed countless independent contractors hired via Craigslist in much the same fashion that the 15 sales associates who worked for us on 3/20/10 were hired. The cell phone I use for the ads was purchased by my supervisor so I wouldn't have to use my personal cell and I am not sure where that is relevant in regards to your false claims. The fax number I am using is provided from eFax. I have tried to use my personal fax at home, but it does not work and I find it easier to be able to open faxes via the internet and being able to save it directly to my computer without having to scan it first. It just so happens that I cannot choose my own local number since I am only using the free eFax service. You provided a link to my personal LinkedIn account. All of the information is true, the companies I have worked for (Rosetta Stone, Campaigners, Elite Marketing Interactions, etc.) and even where I am currently going to college and graduated from High School. The picture in my LinkedIn is me.

As far as the ad I posted on Craigslist, it was a legitimate ad. In fact, we had a team of 15 people work the event. The event I was hiring for was for the Anti-War March & Rally in Washington, DC on Saturday, March 20th. It is a real event that happens every year and I recommend that you look it up. This was my first ever event with NPC, and we realized the way we conducted our hiring process should be improved. The reason why we had people send back our Application Packet PRIOR to explaining all of the details of the event was to prevent anyone to release information, especially to our competitors or go off on their own and become one of our competitors as has happened several times in the past, according to Andrew Bochantin, owner of NPC. We realize that we were asking for too much information by polling those individuals who had not returned the Application Packet. Even though we might have been asking for too much information, there was nothing in our Application Packet that was out of line We included a very standard application form where you can find anywhere else. We have our Non-Disclosure/Non-Compete Agreement form in order for our staff not to release information since we do explain our strategies and as I said, go off on their own and become a competitor. We asked for a copy of each applicant's license, state ID, or passport in order to prevent anyone from stealing the product on event days, but again SOP for any application process. Maybe the only questionable form was including a W-9 Tax Form, in lieu of the fact that it would not be necessary until more than $600 in commissions was earned, but we felt it appropriate to have on file. Again, whenever hired to a new business, it is SOP to fill out a W-9 form so we do not feel that it was out of line.

I know first hand how it feels when I come across an ad on Craigslist that turns out to be a fake opportunity. I spent a good amount looking for a job myself on there. I did not want National Property Consultants, Inc. to have the same feeling so I went ahead and created our own website with our own domain name and even a Twitter page. The email address I used before was temporary and now we all have our own email accounts that is linked to our website. And by the way, the email address I used by mistake is my personal email adress that I have been using for years. I use Outlook for all of my email accounts and I have accidentally sent emails from my personal account. It's a simple mistake. We are in the process of building our website as we are rebuilding the company. As mentioned above, NPC has been doing live events all over the country, mostly political events, since 2001. It was on a short haitus and I was brought on recently to improve the company. When we post ads, we are upfront with what the event is, the date, the location, what you will be selling, our hiring process, and the compensation before we send out our Application Packet. From then on, we proceed as any other company does with the hiring process.

I am very offended that something like this would be written about me, but I think you should be ashamed that you did not fully research your claims and made such blatantly false accusations. I follow the rules and I am a very hard worker and it's not fair that you assumed I was some sort of criminal. I would have rather had you address the issue with me directly rather than blasting about me on this, especially as it appears to me that you are assuming a false identity. Never in my life would I have thought my name would come up on this website and if anyone still believes the credibility of these claims, I strongly encourage them to contact me directly to discuss in greater detail.
