I found an e-mail in my inbox that tells me I ordered a messaging service with an 800 number that is totally bogus. I was checking a web site just prior to this happening. the website I was in was reciperewards, which I feel prompted this fly by nite scam service.

I was amazed to read the rebuttal and more company info from the author.
Seems this scam takes on many identities. I have taken my fight now to the Senator from my State of Nevada. I have authored a letter to the Hon. Senator Harry Reid for some direction in this matter. I am also enclosing many of the complaints (including my own) so that he can learn first hand how these so-called "companies" are able to steal someones identity.
The problem is a lot larger than any of us and I for one refuse to pay for merchandise or services that I did not order.
I urge people to either write to your State Senator or your Congressman in the hopes that more innocent people don't have to endure the same unjust methods of operation.

Company Information

What you experienced sounds exactly like what the victims of residentialvoicemail.com are saying. They are on a totally different website filling out a survey or looking for freebie type things and then they get an email saying they signed up for a voice message service.
I don't know if these are connected or not, but as you can see by the whois information below, they are using the same domain service and servers. The only differences are the company names and what they list for owner and address. Neither of them give a phone number.
I tried to access the nwvmessaging.com website and all I got was a blank page on their main URL and on the cancel URL in the above report.
As with residentialvoicemail.com, do NOT give them your phone number or then they can match it to your email address, claim you ordered their service and start to bill your phone bill every month and make it look legitimate!
360-736-2477 is a phone number I've seen reported to contact them, but again, do NOT give them your phone number if you call to try to cancel.

More Info from Phone company
AUTHOR: James - (U.S.A.)

This situation, after reading all of the complaints from you who were scammed, lead me to follow-up on what can be done.
Unfortuneatley, as one complaint informer suggested, the phone company has to honor a billing request by IGL or ILG and refused to block any incoming billing from this IGL.
I asked if changing my number would work, the answer again was no.
I tried contacting FCC to lodge a complaint and the information they needed was more than this SCAM company offers. I lodged a complaint to the site I went to when this began, reciperewards.com, My mail was undeliverable.
I am running out of places to go but can't give up. I have yet to be billed for this bogus scam but many have and some can't afford to pay attention let alone pay an unwanted bill.... We need professional help because its not only this nationwide messaging, its far beyond that. Good Luck to All
