We hired Nclg to help us out of a foreclosure situation. We were desperate to save our house we'd lived in for 13 years. The person we spoke n met with was not an Attorney. The entire time we were in contract we never got to speak with an Attorney. They wanted $3500 up front and $1000 for each month while in litigation. Total of $8500 was paid. The promise was to stop the foreclosure, have them work with our lender to get us a loan modification, a principal rate reduction and a lower interest rate, without having to pay back all the missed payments* Instead we got a loan modification that added another ten years of payments (40 yr loan) tacked on $49,000 and only lowered our payments by $17 a month!!!

Misinformed...

YOU are under the impression that the lender HAS to work with you and that is as far from the truth as it gets, YOU are LUCKY!!! They could have just foreclosed on that property and YOU wouldnt have been able to do ANYTHING!!! There was NO WAY that YOU were going to be allowed to skirt those missed payments. YOUR PERSONAL LIFE has ZERO BEARING on the contract that YOU SIGNED!!!! YOU missed payments so instead of EVICTING YOU they chose to put those payments on the back end. It AMAZES me at how quickly people like yourself will ATTEMPT to play the victim when the reality is that YOU ARE A DEADBEAT!!!! YOU didnt pay what YOU legally owe. YOU go the other route wherein YOU get the loan modified BECAUSE you cant AFFORD to play the same game you did when YOU signed the original agreement. Just consider yourself Lucky that YOU are NOT being foreclosed upon because THAT was your REAL goal. Keep the roof over your head. Everything else that comes from the modification is ON YOU and YOU need to accept YOUR ROLE in all of this. THEY wont give YOU a second pass so stay on top of it. YOUR LENDER did NOT think that it was unfair that YOU should have to pay back the amount YOU owed. WHich is why they extended the loan to cover those missed payments. Why is it that banks and lenders are ALWAYS the bad guys when YOU are the deadbeat?? When YOU needed/wanted that money, THEY didnt give YOU the ration of crap YOU give. Think about that. Kinda hard to play the victim when you WILLINGLY agreed to the original terms of the loan. NOW that its later and LIFE didnt give YOU the break YOU wanted, THEY become the bad guys BECAUSE they want what is LEGALLY thiers. Perhaps a little long term thinking was in order for YOU.
