Last year about this time of year, I canceled my account with Simply Postage. They were to send an RMA# for the postage printer. After a couple of contacts with them, the RMA# never came. No big deal, just boxed the printer up and put it in the closet.

Fast forward a year. Today Dec. 2002. Get an email telling me I owe them $212.**, for meter rental and my account is active.
WOW!!! wait a minute. I canceled a year ago, you guys didn't send me a RMA# and will not accept a return without one. No your account is still active. email wants me to call billing dept.

So, I call the 877 number and talk to a customer service rep. He said while on speaker phone and 5 other people listen, that yes it was cancelled and an RMA# was sent out. Well, I never got it, or I would have returned the printer. He asked me why I didn't contact them when I didn't get the RMA#, Well I did, but I do have other things to do. Can't stand around contacting them ever day or month. Forgot about it. I in turn asked him, Why didn't they contact me, if they had an open RMA.
He gave me no answer.

The CSR just told me I had to pay the fee, because I still had the printer. Bull!! send it to collections, or somewhere else.

I email the person in the other arm of the company, that had emailed me and explained what the CSR had told me. He emails me back that it is still active. I email back asking how can it be active and canceled at the same time. The only thing I get back is an email from someone else who just said in the email that until the account is cancelled, I will still be billed for the equiptment. DUH!!!!!

1. They did not contact me for an entire year, just let the charges go up.
2. I did my part in having them cancel and requesting an RMA# a couple of times in the first couple of month
3. One arm of the company is saying it is active, while the other is saying it was canceled.
4. even with my emails and contacting then by phone, they still have not figured it out.

I don't know if this company is in finanical trouble, or have they just figure out they have an untapped revenue source, but I will not pay this bill. I will fight to the death on this one. I feel they are just trying to rip me off. I am sure that there are other people out there, that are having, or are going to have the same problem...BEWARE!!!! You postage may cost you more than you think.
