In June, I decided to become a brand partner with Nerium International LLC. I had no intention of working a business with them but wanted to try the product for a couple of months. During that time period there were no results so I decided that I no longer wanted to be a customer/brand partner. I contacted Nerium to return the product along with the brand partner materials. I specifically asked the customer service rep, in email, if I would get a full refund for the materials which were unopened and unused. I informed her that the book that came with the materials was highlighted and that I would not be returning it but everything else I would be returning. I asked her if I would get a refund for those materials. She wrote it depended on the condition of the materials and if they would be able to re-use them. After spending over $14.00 to return the products and materials, I only got a partial refund for the product because they charge a 20% re-stocking fee, which I find to be a rip off. I then asked about the refund for the materials. I was then notified that since not all of the materials were returned, they couldn't re-use the materials and I would not be getting a refund. Why wasn't I notified about this when I first asked? Now not only am I out $130, but have nothing to show for it. The least they can do is send me back the materials I paid for. I feel that I was ripped off and that customer service did absolutely nothing to make this right. It felt like they were telling me, "screw you." I also contacted the CEO, Jeff Olson, and there's been no response. I work with another company that treat their customers and business builders like royalty. They go out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied. Not Nerium. Not everyone can afford to lose $130. It tells me that they care more about the money than they do their customers/brand partners. The way I was treated was absolutely disgusting. They kept going back to policies and procedures, terms of agreement, etc. Exceptions do get made and I would think that they would want to do everything they could to make things right regardless of what their terms of agreement said. That's just good business sense which they don't seem to have.

I finally got my refund

AUTHOR: Stacy E - ()

POSTED: Monday, February 03, 2014

I finally got my refund for the unused materials only after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Texas. I don't know why it had to come to this additional step, but it worked. Nerium's business practices need an overhaul. All the time and energy I spent in getting them to do the right thing was just too much. Not many people may have the patience to take it to the next step and they end up losing a lot of money because of how difficult Nerium can be when requesting a refund.

I am sorry for what happened to you, but it's not half as bad as the other shady things they are doing.

The product is GREAT, but don't be a rep.  They try and suck every $1 out of you....they make little loop holes that cause you to have to forfeit you checks each month, I've lost thousands in income due to their little impossible to maneuver through loop holes.  They care about saving a buck, more than saving a rep.

Beware, don't sell nerium, just use nerium.  And don't believe for a MINUTE that they help with skin cancer, have a cancer division or research center....because I WAS diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma while I was a rep with them.  I reached out to them as a resource, and I was SHUT DOWN, and sent to their BS website which only talks about all their science.  It's great for skin, but they didn't give a d**n about my cancer.

They do not care about good business.  If you cost them a penny that they can earn citing their policies then they will toss you out in a skinny minute to get that penny intead of keep that rep or customer.  It's gross.  I am a successful business owner and I would NEVER treat my customers that way. I would always try and help them and work with them within reason.  Nerium doesn't, ever.  They have a screw you mentality.
