I was trying to find a good informative background check program and had heard that Net Detective was number 1 but was really disappointed in them.
There's not much information on people and what I found on myself and my family was alot of false and misleading information.
They say to call to cancel but do not leave a phone number but I look the HD Publishing Group up on the web and got the number but their policy say's that we have to write so I will write and fax also. The lady Liz that I spoke with said that they would refund me but I have called the bank and that hasn't happened yet, if it does I will let you know.

I tried this service when doing a little family research. Was looking for information pretaining to my grandmother, looking for addresses linked to her. All this site does is re-direct you to their sister pay sites for the information you are seeking. So basically what you have paid for is the right to purchase more of their services. I just cut the loss! Ok, so this one burned me!
Note: I too entered my own name into the search and yes the little info they were willing to sell me was in-correct. I also searched a couple of my sisters and my mother and again the information given was in-correct.
Oh but the good news is they could, for an additional price, give me the current address of my step-father, of course, I already know where he is buried since I was at his funeral in 1992 so I didn't feel the need to further purchase this address from them.
