New Horizons Computer Learning Center Grossly overcharged for their "services" Bellevue Washington

About a year ago I signed up for a Network+ bootcamp at the New Horizons Computer Learning Center in Bellevue, WA. The sales rep told me that the class was "self-paced learning", or words to that effect. I would watch videos on my own, and an instructor would be available to answer any questions I had.

The quality of instruction was pretty good, but in my opinion the course was a complete rip-off. Why? Because it turned out I paid over $2300 for the "privilege" of watching the Mike Meyer's Network+ Video Series. I could have purchased the videos myself for less than $300, saving me $2000. And I would have been able to watch it as many times as I wanted, instead of only once. When I found out what was going on, I was pissed. I offered to pay for the days I had "attended" but said that I wanted to withdraw from the course and get the rest of my money back. Of course, they refused.

In case anybody is wondering, there was absolutely nothing value-added, either. I asked the "instructor" exactly two questions that week, and it turns out that the reason I was confused one of those two times was because their textbook was wrong.

So for anybody thinking about taking one of their courses, my honest advice is to not waste your money. Buy the videos yourself, and use the money you saved in order to buy yourself a new laptop to watch it on.
