*Consumer Comment: I am sure there is more to this story.
I recieved a check for 2,000$ from Nick Smith of Tacoma, Washington with the instructions to contact jbinstructions@aol.com, and then to wire the money to Robert Kain , Philidelphia, Pennsylvania 19124.
There was also another email address that this stuff started with and it was as follows ozopee1@yahoo.ca.
The check was made on a company named PFG, Inc.
P.O. Box 1093, Chicago, IL 60603, and was made on Chase Manhatten Bank, 619 Main Street, New York City, NY 10044, and in the memo it says certified check, hopefully with this evidence you will be able to catch whose been doing this before more damage is done to others.

This sounds like an advance fee scam of some sort. Was this some sort of job you applied for online? Please post up the additional details of the company involved. How did it come about that "nick smith" sent you a fake check for $2000? Posting up the additional details of how this came about may help somebody from falling for the same scam in the future. The names Nick Smith and Richard Kain might be fake or they could be a victims of identity theft. They could also be what is known as "check mules", which are also victims of the scam but do not yet realize that the new "job" they have recently started is part of a larger scam. Your complaint should be against the "company" that wrote the check, not the individual who sent it to you. Please post up the additional details.
