Norris Evans (Norry) - Diversity Marketing Company I invested $1250 to Norris Evans on March 24, 2009 for promotional/entertainment shows. I met with him to sign the contract but he allegedly forgot the bring the paperwork. Because I have known him for well over 15 years, I trusted that he would get back in touch with me later that day to get the paperwork signed. I wrote him the check and still have not received any monetary return. Charlotte North Carolina

Mr. Norris Evans has a shady entertainment promotional business. He ripped me off on March 24, 2009. I met with him in good faith of investing monies in three of his shows. I was told that not only would I get a return on all of money, but a profit as well. I invested $1250 and have not received any return on it. The unfortunate thing about the deal is that I did not sign an unofficial contract because Norris conveniently forgot to bring it when the deal was made. Because I considered him a friend that I have known for over 15 years, I trusted that he would get with me the same day with the paperwork.

Needless to say, that never happened. He told me that I would receive a return with a profit by the end of April 2009. Well, it is now July 20, 2009 and he is no where to be found. I have text him numerous times and spoke with him briefly by phone to inquire about the money. He has made verbal and written promises that he will call me back and have the money. I went by his office on 1801 North Tryon Street Suite 344 (Diversity Marketing Company) several times with no success.

As a result, I have learned numerous lessons from this transaction, much of it was ignorance on my behalf. I trusted an old friend that he had a legitimate business that I could invest in for a return on my money. However, he made a verbal agreement that everything was legitimate and has written confirmation that he owes me this money. The problem is that he is avoiding my calls and texts now that I been insisting that we close the deal.

At this point, my only alternative is to file a small claims lawsuit against him and the company, which will be my next plan of action. This is such a tough pill to swallow with a person that you thought you knew and trusted.
