My brother, (in my opinion, foolishly) bought a used car here. It blew up on day 1. The car was towed bk to North Hills Auto Mart... He was sold a 2nd car, yes he was foolish enough to buy a 2nd car "as is".... it lasted 5 days....The car was sold in an unsafe cndition, it need THOUSANDS of dollars just to pass SAFETY inspection.

Don't you think a "reputible dealer would sell cars that are at least safe to be on the road? WRONG !

THe dealer  JAY, will not return calls or even attempt to make a fair deal.

Has your brother finally figured out what "as is" means?

It means that the seller specifically does not stand behind the vehicle in any way.   Anyone who buys a car "as is" without having it inspected first, is rolling the dice with their money.  Might be good, might not.   Either way, the seller has told you in advance that any problems that crop up will be yours.   Hard to call that a ripoff.
