North Star Vanlines Moving ripoff Sunrise Florida

On March 31, 2005 I was scheduled to move from Virginia to Michigan. After doing a little of internet research, I chose to use North Star Vanlines. The first problem was when the movers showed up about 8 hours late. This was about 2am. 2 guys showed up in a Budget Rent a Truck. They stated that the reason that they were so late, was because they had to finish up a move in North Carolina. Well after about 2 hours my residence was cleared out, and I was promised delivery in about 7 days. I was given the number of a person named Charlie, who was suppose to handle the scheduling. Now the nightmere really starts. After a few days, I started making phone calls to the company, attempting to schedule the delivery. I was passed from person to person, even to another company "Olympic Moving and Storage, from Skokie, IL. No one seemed to know anything about this pick up. I even had a person at Northstar tell me that they had no record of this pick up. Finally after days of dealing with the RUDE people at Northstar I finally got in touch with Charlie. Now he tells that I was suppose to be contacting Olympic as I had been told before. Well at this point I informed him that no one at olympic had any knowledge of making this delivery. The only thing that Olympic did confirm was that my property was being stored at there NJ Facility. At this point he became very angry, and rude as was all the other Northstar people. Finally after at least 20 phone calls between Northstar, and Olympic I was able to get my stuff scheduled for delivery. Now I must note that this was MANY days late. Olympic ended up making this delivery, and my property much of my property was damaged or destroyed. All the furnature was totally filthy. I filled out the form at the time of delivery, claming all the damages, and of course nothing was ever done by the company. I even made a report to the Florida BBB, and I must say they were no help either. I guess after reading the other stories, at least I did get some of my stuff so I did not do as bad as others. I think that all the former customers should get together and hire a legal team, and clean house with MR IZZY SCAM.
